Gabriel growled out lowly as his shot missed and the girl zoomed up into the air. Now that he'd gotten a closer look at her he could tell that it was definitely female. So why the damned harpy would mess with him was the question. He'd done nothing, but he was also beyond asking at this point. His main focus was fighting her off if need be. When she spoke he growled again, his eyes narrowing once more. "And you're a f**kin' tease." He stated in that low voice of his.
He waited for her to ask why she was the tease because honestly, he had the perfect reason for it. And for him, it was truly a good reason. See, when someone started a fight and he actually shifted into demon form he wanted to finish the fight and the woman flitting into the air? Well that was a tease of the worst kind for him.
If she was expecting him to jump or twitch everytime she swung her tail down at him, then she would be disappointed. Every time the tail dropped down toward him his eyes just followed its path. If he felt it was going to strike him he would move out of the way, otherwise he stayed in one place simply staring up at her. Of course he pivoted in place to keep his eyes on her at all times, so she was unlucky when she swooped low to try and go at his back. Instead she would get his chest again and while she took a swipe he reached out with his left hand and grabbed at her arm, yanking her close and keeping her from pulling back while his free hand came up once more in an attempt to connect with her cheek. As he was swinging his fist he released her arm.

"Mmm I've been called that and more believe me. Your words don't hurt. I'm beyond letting a male ever have that effect." Growling back after she was done speaking, watching his movements and while he thought she was teasing it was all just how she tested a person. If he was worth enough than she might make it more interesting and right now he did seem to be pretty good.
It wasn't her tail always she used that just happen to be a benefit for her when she did. Licking her lips again as she came at him with her own fist only to have her arm grabbed and suddenly get pulled into him. Eyes flashing black before they returned to that bluish/green staying before him, allowing him to hit her cheek. Jerking her head to the side when he connected before another laugh left her chest working from deep inside.
Flicking her tongue out over her lips though feeling her arm loose she grabbed his waist. Jerking him to her, lip curling some as his scent suddenly invaded her own senses and she raised a brow. Those eyes weren't demonic although she had yet to shift back and cocked her head to the side. "Hmm you could be fun to have around tell me what do you think of causing havoc and chaos." While she spoke her form shifted back leaving her once more as a human, well except her wings remained this time.
Wavy blond hair flaring down her back, those bluish/green eyes staring at him intently. That soft, silky tan skin once more replacing that of her demonic side and honestly this side was her best. It was the more easy to confuse others with when she used that innocent card. Even with the transformation she was once more clothed in the red and black fitted corset that hugged to her body like a glove. The tight black jeans like another skin while the boots made her a few inches taller than she truly was. Not to mention those 4 inch heels when she was pissed off enough could hurt like a bitch.
"Tell me your name." The demand that normally recided in her voice was gone, she was indeed curious about this demon. So instead of keeping the fight going she had stopped even allowing him to get a hit on her which was usually enough to piss her off. Must be something about Gabe she didn't feel like trying to rip him into shreds.

"Oh yeah, Harpy? Only teases will start something and disappear before anything further can be done." He said as he watched her. Of course he was talking about her flying off while they fought. He couldn't help the faint smirk that tugged at the corner of his mouth when his fist actually connected with her cheek and her head jerked off to the side. Good. The part that ticked him off was the fact that she'd laughed after taking the hit.
And then her arm wound around his waist. A low growl escaped him as he twisted in her grip to free himself and took a step back with his fists raised in case she came at him again. Gabriel laughed darkly as her voice rang out again. "What's it to you?" He asked in response to her question. The pale green eyes narrowed once more as she shifted back to her human form, watched as everything about her lightened in appearance before she stood in front of him in the too-tight clothes and too-tall boots.
His tongue swept across his lips, feeling a dull ache in his arm from the cut. He ignored it, not realizing that it was his body trying to push the poison out from his system. Gabe watched her still, even though she'd changed back he wouldn't allow himself to just yet. No, not until he was sure their little mini-battle was over. He wasn't stupid, he wasn't slow and he wasn't naive. It was all too easy to let your guard down and then get attacked while it was down. No, he wasn't going to deal with that so it was just simpler to stay the way he was for now.
At the demand for his name he growled lowly. "Your's first." He demanded right back. He took another step back from her, keeping his arms raised, just in case. He wasn't going to let the woman have a one-up on him. If she decided to keep up the attack then he would be ready.

"Please I wasn't running off, but I sure as hell won't let you land all your hits...if any." In other words she had allowed him to hit her and wasn't afraid to let him know for the fact. Just incase he thought he had gotten lucky, smirking a little when he pulled away and still looked ready to fight. Rolling her eyes as she let out a frustrated breath just shaking her head some. Raising a brow to his answer being another question her own eyes narrowing faintly before she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Because Orealis is my playground and if another comes I want to know if he might help or be an issue"
Shaking her head once more when his arms stayed up and he didn't shift back himself. Before just shrugging it off for now and turned when instead of giving his name he demanded hers. Smiling a little before allowing her eyes to actually scan his form, "Brindara Lyn Liemar, now yours" Eyes looking back into his own wondering what is was about him that had her so damn curious.

"You weren't? Oh, then your flying act was just to prove that you could?" He asked sarcastically. His eyes rolled briefly as if to throw in more sarcasm than what had been in his voice. "Besides, in a fair fight, I'd knock you on your ass." He stated plainly. If she hadn't used the obvious advantage her wings gave her then he probably would have laid her out without a problem. Gabriel slowly relaxed his stance, though didn't lower his arms yet, didn't unclench his fists. He still wanted to be ready in case the woman came at him.
When she spoke again he couldn't help the laugh that slipped through his lips while he looked at her. "I haven't decided yet what I think of Orealis, therefore I don't know what I plan on doing there." He stated plainly, pale green gaze following her form as she walked back and forth in front of him. Licking at his lips before he let the transition slowly take place. He wasn't about to drop from demon back to human form instantly. It wasn't paranoia either. It was a combination of not trusting the woman and merely being precautious.
Gabriel didn't like surprises and he didn't like being taken by surprise either. It was better for him this way. So while he watched her the muscles in his arms and chest slowly downsized so that the strain on his shirt lessened (though not by much since he was a bigger guy to begin with). The nails on his fingers and the teeth in his mouth slowly lost their sharp features. His skin paled considerably, though it was plain to see that he was still tanned from a lot of time in the sun.
Hearing her speak her name caused him to nod slightly before giving his own. "Gabriel Bennett." He said as he watched her. Gabe wasn't about to give his middle name, it was stupid. The people who had adopted him had not only cursed him with an obviously stupid middle name, but a ridiculous pun of a first name. Gabriel, the name of an angel and protector of the heavens. They gave it to him as a joke, that much he could tell, even though they'd never said it. Why else should a demon bear the name of a guardian of heaven?

Hearing him her head jerked up to his face and she raised a brow before shaking her head once more. Smiling actually with a genuine look over her face for a change unable to hold back her own laugh. But it was softer this time as if she was just a mere human once more bell like something long ago lost or was it? "Keep thinking that baby, I'm not all I appear and to underestimate me because of my wings...could be a fatal mistake." Shrugging some after as her gaze looked back around a moment nodded when he answered about not knowing yet.
But when she turned to look at him again noticed he was changing just slower and had to admire it. Tilting her head some before sucking her bottom lip into her mouth a moment finally hearing his name. "Am I assuming right you go by Gabe for short?" Knowing the name well and wasn't stupid to start asking more questions about his first name. But it was interesting that a demon be named for an angel, than again she wasn't born a demon. Shaking her head some she pushed the past away again before looking up at him again. "I know you won't believe me nor have a reason too, but I don't plan on attacking you again. So tell me....have you met anyone else around here yet?"

"Oh, baby-" the word came out mockingly, since he hated it's use "-I don't underestimate you. I never underestimate anyone. I'm just betting that you use those wings as a scapegoat." He said with an arch to his brow. After all, who wouldn't use them? If something got to be too much, or if you just wanted to end things quickly. Wasn't it much easier when you could escape without having to run and have someone right on your ass the whole time? He would if it truly came down to it. Especially since there weren't that many creatures left in this world who could fly.
He gave a brief nod at the question from her lips. "Gabe, Gabriel. It doesn't matter which. Just depends on who's talking to me." He said with a forced smile. His parents had always called him Gabriel, never failed. His brother had switched back and forth between Gabe and Gabriel depending on his attitude toward the man at the moment. His sister was the only one who had ever called him Gabe constantly. One of the reasons he'd cared more for her than the rest of the family. She was truly the only one he was searching the cities for.
He licked at his lips once more, debating digging through his bag for the bottle of water that he knew to be there. Of course it was probably near gone by now, but it would be something, wouldn't it? The eyes were the last thing to change. And it happened quickly too. Between one blink of his eyes and the next they shifted from that piercing pale green to a deep emerald color that was as unique as he was. Most people with darker green eyes usually had another color flecked within to make them darker, like brown or gold, but his were just green. When she spoke again he couldn't stop the smirk that slipped over his lips. "You're right. I don't believe you. And I have no reason to believe you, since you didn't have reason for attacking me in the first place." He stated with an arch of his brow. The tone in his voice almost -almost, but not quite- seemed as if it were searching for a reason, but there was also something within his voice that said he didn't care either way.
Even more slowly than his transformation did his hands lower back to his sides, though he still seemed to be standing at the ready in case she did come at him again. Broad shoulders shrugged up quickly before speaking. "And no, other than you and some psychotic lady back over the mountain who believed the mist was haunted, I haven't met anyone else." He said with a little grin pulling at his mouth.

"Force of habit I call people by certain nicknames my apology Gabe." Surprisingly she was being honest having a hint from this mocking tone, he didn't like it so she was being nice and apologizing not that she did that very often either. At least anymore. Shaking her head a little at his words about her wings before she let her hand shoot out. Hitting a tree near them square on and shattering it before turning her gaze to him again. "Oh see that is where your wrong, for I don't give up on a fight till the end and since this wasn't a real fight. Well ..." Shrugging again before looking and brushing off her hand.
Nodding about the names he was called or liked being called before noticing the smile. Was he trying just for her or what? Sighing some and wanted to slap him it wasn't like she expected them to like or even trust each other right away if at all. But the forced emotions got on her nerves. "You don't have to force the emotions you know...if your not happy or don't wish to show the truth you don't have too." Crossing her arms a moment before her own mind again shifted to another area of her thoughts.
Remembering when she was still human and her cousin Marius. He kind of reminded her of him maybe that was what had her thinking about him suddenly. He was really the only one in her family that understood and accepted her no matter what. It was why most of them thought the two hated each other, he was the thorn in her side and her his. But honestly they just understood each other more than anyone else, he was also the only one who could calm her down really. Losing Asher, Jordan and her father had done a number on Brin, than Tetsuo appeared and she started changing.
Marius was the only one who could bring her out of any state she found herself in without worry. Maybe it was why she missed him though never let anyone know that especially Jasel. Marius was really the only one she considered family anymore and he....well she wasn't sure where or if he was alive. Sighing again as she closed her eyes reopening them a moment later and looked back up. Staring into dark green eyes before seeing the smirk and returning it.
"Good, cause I would say your stupid for trusting me so soon or easily. Even when I am being honest for a change. As for attacking it was more of testing and judging you. Like I said this is my territory and I don't like others in it even if their another demon. But something about you...I can't quite pinpoint what it is but you intrigue me." Shrugging a little before she looked back off and seemed to start thinking again or maybe not. Brin wasn't always an easy book to read. As he spoke on the other question she nodded, "There are spirits here actually so the old bat was telling the truth, they just don't seem to really mess with anyone who isn't human."

He didn't look surprised by her apology, if anything he appeared completely unfazed. Gabriel didn't mind people calling him by pet names.. in certain situations. Someone he didn't know and had just tried to attack him? For him that was a no-nickname situation. He rubbed at his right arm where the cut was, feeling a burn starting around it. His eyes didn't drop to the spot, though if he had it would have shocked him. Around the small cut -which still had poison pumping through his system- the skin had started to turn a bright, raw red as if it were burning from the inside out, and it was. The poison was more of an acid to his body that was starting to slowly eat away at his skin and eventually it would pump enough through his heart and bloodstream that it would turn everything inside to mush, so long as it hadn't killed him first, that is.
Gabe couldn't help the faint chuckle as he watched her clock the tree and watched as it splintered. "You think you're the only one with that nifty little power?" He asked with an arch to his brow. She wasn't the only person -well, demon- who could destroy things that easily. He just chose not to without a valid reason behind it. No, he wasn't trying, especially for her. The forced smile was just because it was habit when it came to talking about his name. Sure, he didn't really mind the name Gabriel, but it wasn't really fitting and he knew all too well that it was a joke for his own benefit. So in the end, the smile was more of a grimace. Though when she spoke again a real smile spread over his lips, followed by a quick laugh and a shake of his head which caused his hair to bounce around his face. "I'm not forcing anything." He said simply. If she needed elboration then he would give it.. in his own time.
When she spoke again he smirked once more. "Maybe it's my charm, or my dashing good looks." He said sarcastically. Of course he didn't believe either. In fact, Gabriel didn't think he was charming or good looking at all, even though he was both. "Besides, I don't trust anyone. Give someone an inch and they'll take a mile and all that." He stated with a shrug of the broad shoulders. "And I wasn't aware that this was anyone's territory, I wasn't informed of that." He said. Then again, even if he knew it wouldn't have stopped him from coming through. Gabriel wasn't afraid of people or situations because he just didn't care. The only thing someone could truly take from him was his life and he wasn't afraid to die.
Again, he shrugged as she spoke on the spirits. He didn't care if there were any out here. They weren't going to mess with him, obviously, and if they did it wasn't really anything that would affect him. His tongue dashed over his lips before speaking again. "Well the old bat may have been right, but it wouldn't have mattered either way." He said without elaborating. Mostly because he didn't care. It was rare to find anything that Gabriel actually did care about. It'd been too long since he'd had to care. But if you put his brother or sister in danger in front of him -even though he knew that they weren't really his family- he would care. Those were the only ones in his life that he did care about. He had a feeling that they were dead, though. How couldn't they be with the destruction that had taken over the earth?

Brin gave nicknames to nearly everyone when she felt like it watching him a moment before her eyes locked on him rubbing his arm. As she took notice a realization hit her that he had gotten cut by one of the bards on her arm. Shaking her head slowly she sighed some softly before slowly walking closer to him rolling her eyes at his comment after she had hit the tree near them. "Not at all you seem to be under the impression I need my wings and depend on them more. I was showing your otherwise. I like advantages Gabe just like the next person, but I don't completely need them when in a fight." Looking up at him when she came to be a few feet and tilted her head some curiously before smiling back and reaching out for his arm.
"The poison from the barbs on my tail are counteracting with your own body no doubt because of your bloodline. If you don't wish this to spread I do know what you can take to stop it otherwise well I hate to say it, your slowly going to have it eatting away at your entire body." If he could be helpful she didn't necessarily need him dying on her slowly, plus she kind of liked him. In a curious sort of way at the moment.
Though when he spoke about what attracted her to him Brin couldn't help laughing softly and it was like before more humanized. Those bell like sounds weren't here norm, but everything about their encounter and seemed off. Moving her hand from his arm waiting for his answer though did raise her hand and brushed some of his hair from his face. "Hmmm perhaps your right you are completely charming since we met." The sarcastic tone quite clear before she moved her hand again to his cheek unless he flinched away. Leaning in near his ear he would soon catch a rumbling purr sound before a soft brush of her breath against his ear came when she spoke."As for the good looks I won't argue with you there."
Yea she'd be lying if she didn't say he wasn't attractive looking than again Brin always was pulled to the badboy looking guys. Smirking a little before she pulled back and let out a breath as she brushed her tongue out over her lips a moment to wet them. Nodding to his next set of words though completely agreed with him, "Your probably right most people will take more than you wish them to and use you and it to their advantage. As for the territory well its alright, seeing as most besides that lycan whore don't know who I am and I like it that way." Looking back her eyes for a moment had flickered a reddish black right as she spoke about the lycan.
But as quickly as it changed they were back to normal again just as fast leaning her head some to the side. Smirking some when he got to the old woman again nodding. "All three locations of the Forgotten Relics have some kind of dark secret or trap, surprise waiting. Forbidden Island only two people know how to find it I'm one of them. Even if you do find it entering the land itself comes with a price and since myself and another now live there. Well its more our own no outside force can enter unless we wish it. Some have tried, demon, lycan, vampire and all have failed, failed and died. Than there is Devil's Heart" Yes she was explaining about the three surrounding areas not really caring much if he wanted to know or not. But knew of them all the Island wouldn't be a worry since as she said only two had the access.
Turning to look back at him she let her eyes drop a moment before she gathered her thoughts."If your not into heat and I mean unheard of levels than I wouldn't go there, not that food is easy to get either. But it is an interesting place I will say that. Almost like a piece of hell now on earth." Shaking her head after and turning back towards him once more letting her eyes look to his arm a moment before back up into his dark hues.

"I never said that you didn't have the strength, just that you depend on your wings because I'm betting full-out that you use your wings a lot more than you stay on your feet." He said with a perk to his brow. Gabe was betting that he was right, of course he wouldn't come right out and say it.. not really. He watched her as she took a step closer while his hand shifted to rub at the scrape on his arm again. It was starting to hurt a lot more than it should of, but he still didn't look down at it.
When her hand came out to take his arm he took a step back, eyeing her closely. He still didn't trust her and physical contact wasn't something he wanted without trust. But hearing her speak of poison made his gaze drop to his arm which gave her the time to take it. Brows furrowed in shock at the sight of the angry red marks around the simple cut. His eyes jumped back to her face, watching her closely. "And? What do I take?" He asked. Even with the prospect of dying, Gabe didn't look worried or even shocked. Again, he wasn't afraid to die.
He didn't move back away from her, or move at all actually, when her hand raised to brush some of the hair from his face, green eyes focused on her face as he waited for her to move away again. Though he wasn't able to fight off the little smirk that pulled at his lips when she spoke of his being charming in that sarcastic little tone of hers. As her fingers brushed over his cheek he stood stock still with his gaze focused on her, almost as if waiting for her to make a stupid move so that he could rip her head off. Still he didn't move when she leaned in and her lips brushed across his ear. He said nothing in response to her talk of his charm or good looks. Again, because he didn't believe he had either.
Though as she stepped back and spoke again he shrugged lightly. "Exactly. Which is why I don't trust anyone." He said plainly. A devilish smirk played across his lips, though. "Ah, so there's whore's in Orealis?" He asked. Of course he didn't have much of a problem wit Lycans or any other race, just that he trusted no one, he didn't care for anyone either. As she went into the descript of the surrounding places he rolled his eyes lightly. "You know I don't care, right?" He asked with an arch forming in his brow.

Brin merely looked at him when he explained before raising a brow before smirking playfully back over at him. Watching as he rubbed and scratched at his arm even more before she began to move closer and tried to touch his arm. Only for him to step back well till he heard her mention about the arm and when he looked she took the chance and stepped up taking his arm to see the extent before he met her eyes. Studying his eyes, his face closely for a moment before sighing softly seeing as he didn't try and move from her touch again.
But that didn't mean she didn't noticing him tensing up either and shook her head some. "You need my blood since its taken in three different increments over two days." Letting her eyes stay on his letting him know she was speaking the truth, catching the smirk that came a short time later when she called him charming. Not even attempting to do anything more than she had and risk him attacking her, naw she wasn't that stupid or nieve either at the moment.
Shaking her head some as she stepped away before he spoke again about why he didn't trust before smirking some. His reaction to her mention the whore she called a lycan was slightly amusing and she merely shook her head. "Yes well that is another story all together. And yes I know you don't care but seeing as your going to possible be staying I feel like telling. So shut up and listen." Pushing some hair from her face before she turned to look off again thinking a moment.

"Your blood?" He asked as a brow arched up. Yeah, Gabe could handle a lot of things, blood didn't even weird him out. But there was a vast difference between seeing blood and drinking it. Sure, he was pretty resilint and most regular infections wouldn't pose him much harm, that didn't mean he wanted to go around drinking someone else's blood. His nose wrinkled slightly before he cleared his throat. "So what, do you have to cut a vein here or am I supposed to just rip one open?" He asked with a hint of sarcasm in his tone, even more was the amusement and most of all was the annoyance. He would have been much more comfortable with using an herb or something, but no. Of course it had to be blood.
Admittedly he was slightly relieved when she stepped back away from him, mainly because he just wasn't in the mood to fight, he didn't want to have to fight right now. He would much rather find a drink, have a cigarette and catch a couple of good hours of sleep. After licking at his lips he turned from her. Even though he turned, Gabriel made sure that he could still see her, made sure that she was still within his view. After turning he dug quickly into his pocket to find his cigarette pack. Yeah, unfortunately there was only one left in it, but it was enough for now. He placed the butt between his lips and tossed the empty pack onto the ground, then reached into his pocket for the old butane lighter and covered the end to keep any small gusts of air away while he lit the papered end.
Gabriel took in a long drawl and felt the nicotine instantly course through him. He shook the hair from his eyes as he turned to look back at her while she spoke. Hearing the command in her tone brought a smirk to his lips. "Why yes-a massa. I be real good and quiet." He said, sounding almost exactly like a slave in the old days would have. That smirk stayed at his lips while he blew the smoke from his lungs. All the while the cigarette stayed between his lips.

Hearing Gabe, Brin couldn't help smirking a little at the way he said her blood. Yea she kind of figured that wouldn't be his most chosen path for curing his current issue. But hey it was how it was and she couldn't help he had to ingest her own blood to be able to survive the acid now eating away at his body. Though Brin wasn't sure or not if anything else would happen with him taking her blood, nor was she thinking about that at the moment. She merely gave him the chance to get better or not it was his decision. If he became linked or addicted to her blood well that was something she had no way of knowing. Not like she gave anyone but Jasel her blood normally.
Though as he asked about how to take it, she smiled some softly over at him before lifting her wrist to her lip. Allowing her fangs to pierce the skin along the vein before pulling back and holding it out for him. "There just drink as I said it will be a more than one time deal. Three times in the next two days and you will start noticing the effects." Looking back to him and waiting for now with her wrist held out for him, bluish/green eyes watching.
Seeing the cigarettes he got she merely rolled her eyes before tilting her head some to the side. Though at his words she couldn't help the faint raise of her brow or the smirk to just how he spoke."Keep it up smart ass." Rolling her eyes before looking away a moment.

Gabriel watched her while he took another drag from the cigarette and blew the smoke through his nose without taking the stick from his mouth. His gaze stayed on her as she raised her wrist to her mouth, his eyes following her arm. Green eyes narrowed slightly, focusing his gaze on her fangs and the blood that clung to them when she pulled her wrist away from her mouth. A brow arched as she held it out to him. His nose wrinkled, taking a step closer to her as her stared at the blood trickling from the cut. The scent of the blood hit him and made his stomach turn slightly. Not because the sight or the scent in general, just because he realized that that blood was going to be in his stomach all too soon. Yuck.
His hand grabbed at her forarm, just above the cut. The skin on his hand wasn't soft or smooth like her arm felt to him, instead it was rough and calloused from work. After all, Gabriel never really got to sit still. Besides, wasn't this a fight as you go kinda world? He looked at the blood for a moment before sighing, a faint sound that escaped him before turning his gaze up to her. "And just how much of this do I need?" He asked, looking and sounding a little repulsed.
He finally took the cigarette from his mouth after taking a final hit from it before pulling it from his lips and grinning and winking at her when she spoke on his being a smart ass. He couldn't help it, he was almost always a smart ass and he liked it that way. With another wrinkle to his nose he leaned in a little closer before taking in a breath and wrapping his lips around the wound to her wrist. He wasn't worried about being addicted to her blood or them becoming linked because of it. He knew enough that to become linked they had to share blood, meaning he had to take hers and she had to take his. And there wasn't a chance in hell that he was gonna offer any of his own up. As for addiction? He wasn't addicted to anything. Cigarettes? He could stop whenever. He just liked the taste. Alcohol? Again, could stop whenever, he just liked the numbing feeling and the fact that it made him sleep. Sex? Well, that wasn't really an addiction, but just something he enjoyed.
Addiction was a state of mind, addiction came with a certain kind of personality, not because of use. He took a pull, feeling the blood pool into his mouth before swallowing it down. Once, twice, three times. He was waiting for her to tell him to stop.
