They said that spirits haunted the mist.. or at least that's what the old lady had saif to him when she tried to stop him from continuing on his path through to the mist. She told him there was another way around, a way for him to get to a village called Orealis, but he would have to walk all the way around and add another three days to his trip.. all for the cost of avoiding the mist. No thanks. He wasn't worried about some spirits, really what was going to happen to him there? They'd make scary noises. OOoh, yeah that was terrifying. He was dressed for traveling with a pair of black hiking boots shrouding his feet and ankles, a pair of worn jeans and a wife beater. He had plenty of other shirts within his back pack but he was too hot to look for any of them.
A large camo-green camping backpack rested on his back with a leather jacket draped over the top of his bag and sticking to his back from the sweat that had collected on his head and torso. It may have only been spring and around 80 degrees, but the heat effected him worse than most everyone he knew. Gabe was one of those people that could go outside in mid winter in -10 degree weather in shorts and be fine. His ear length hair stuck to his temples, forhead and neck as he walked, irritating him and forcing him to sweep his fingers back through his hair to keep it out of his face.
The only light he was seeing about being in the mist was that it was a little cooler. Well, rephrase. It wasn't cooler, the sun just wasn't able to beat down on him as if when he was out in the open. As soon as he entered the mist and felt the air cool down around him he dug into his jeans pocket and grabbed the pack of cigarettes and the old butane lighter that probably wouldn't last very much longer. A sigh slipped past his lips as he shook the pack and realized that there were only two left in it. Great.
Not like he didn't have more in his backpack, but he didn't want to reach for them or dig through his bag to find it. He shook the pack again to shimmy one up and grabbed the butt between his lips before flicking the lighter to catch the end of it on fire. Inhaling deeply to pull the thick smoke into his lungs as he walked and jammed the pack and lighter back into his pocket. So. Now he had, what? A two day trip before he'd reach this Orealis. Fine by him.

It was just one of those times, days, weeks whatever that Brindara found herself being bored and wondering. Slipping from Forbidden Island and ultimately going to the Ghost Mist which she hadn't yet been just having other things going on honestly. But she was bored wanting to go or do something and get out all this energy she was feeling so why not investigate another area. Perhaps Jasel might like it and they could have two places to call their own when they needed it.
With a lick of her lips she closed her eyes letting the thoughts vanished from her mind as she concentrated. Flitting carefully from the island to the mist relatively fast only feeling a faint hint of caution coming over her body. The chill of the air, the eerieness of it really was different and she faintly raised a brow before shaking her head. "Spirits...really?" Her own voice barely above a whisper as she began her walk, not really worried about the lack of vision. Wasn't really much of a big deal for her anymore.
A hand coming up to brush back through her hair, pushing it behind her ears once more. Rich red and black were the colors adorning her frame, the top a tight, form-fitted corset top not leaving much to the imagination. Than again Brin didn't care to leave most any imagination when it came to her. Her skin catching a faint hint of chill along the bare fresh before she pushed it aside. Tight black jeans hugging to her legs making it appear like another skin before vanishing into thigh-high, black 4 inch heel boots.
She was a goddess at least by appearance, those sparkling bluish/green eyes and her honey colored locks seemed to make many underestimate the girl. Who was Brin to argue with falsh senses of hope? Those eyes gazing carefully through the thick mist, catching hints of sounds but nothing really to make her think twice. That was till she got deeper in and a scent suddenly slipped around her making the vixen stop. Taking in a breath, pushing it through her nose and into her lungs she smirked sadistically. 'Mmmm seems I might of found a new toy..' her thoughts teased.
Even with the mist being as it was, blocking nearly most things from sight. Brin was aware of his location as she guessed he might be of her before she decided to change that. Vanishing suddenly allowing her senses to keep her safe while she slipped carefully, cunningly to a spot just near his. Pressing her hand against a tree she was near staring out into the area, the mist as if it wasn't there. Looking probably odd if anyone without her senses spotted her.
Tilting her head, that tongue shot out licking over her lips before she thought of something. Giving her new location kept her downwind from the male which meant he wouldn't know too easily who or what she was. So why not play a little, test out this new toy and see how worthy he was, which is exactly what she was going to do. Keeping to her place listening for a brief moment and determing their exact distance or roughly close before closing her eyes. "HELP!!!...PLEASE...IS ANYONE THERE? I'M LOST..." The voice of distress carried easily through the mist, breaking through the relative silence of the area.
It was a voice trembling with fear, desperate for help from anyone who might of heard. Yet the person it belong too was far from needing help, but that now wasn't the point and she waited. Allowing her heart to race with delicious anticipation, her breathing to pick up aiding with the act she was playing. Wanting to see just what if anything the male did. Than she would decide her next plan.

Jasel was going around unsensable. Simply put he made it so by all logical senses he didn't exist. It wasn't a long term use skill and in effect was very taxing and drained him for every hour it was in use. Which could add up quite quickly. He followed his mate but was going to behave. Let her have whatever fun she wanted. Knowing neither she nor the male he sensed would be able to sense him. He just loved watching his mate play. It rather turned him on. He was just twisted in that sort of way. He wanted to see what she would do. What he would do. Oh he was itching, figuratively, in anticipation. He was even able to keep his breathing even like he was sleeping. Fun fun. Let the games begin.

Gabriel pulled the cigarette from his mouth and flicked the ash off of it with his thumb while he let the smoke curl out of his mouth, fogging up his vision even more than the mist had. He shook his head hard, trying to dislodge the hair that had fallen into his face again. No luck. With a sigh and a roll of his green eyes he popped his smoke back between his lips and reached both hands above his head. Without breaking stride he ran his fingers back through his hair to collect as much of it as he possibly could to pull up into a pony-tail at the back of his head. Sure he could use a hair cut, he didn't want one. Just as his hands were lowering back to his sides he picked up on the echoes of sounds.
Someone else was in the mist, unless that crazy old woman was right and there really were spirits out here. The thought alone made him chuckle quietly, shaking his head again. Not that he didn't believe. Hell, he could believe that the whole area was filled with restless spirits. But in the end what was going to happen to him? They'd make noises and try to scare him? Right, he didn't scare easy. They'd possess him? He was already possessed. They'd try to hurt him? Good luck.
Unfortunately the mist and fog made every sound within echo as if it were coming from a hundred different directions rather than just one, which meant that he couldn't tell where the other person was here within the mist. Not like he cared. Unless they were stupid enough to mess with him then he didn't give a damn. He'd just pulled the cigarette from his mouth again when he heard the shouts. Green eyes jumped up from what he could see of the ground a few feet ahead of him to look around at the shadows of trees and rocks that managed to show through the mist from yards away. He couldn't see a figure, then again whomever's voice it was had come at him from at least five directions.
He hadn't stopped his pace either, continuing to walk in the same direction without the smallest break in stride at the call of distress. After only a second of searching he shook his head and continued walking. Gabriel didn't care. So what, some girl was lost in the mist. Either she'd find her way out or she wouldn't. It wasn't his problem. He took another long drag on the cigarette and felt the butt fold between his fingers. With a faint sigh he flicked the still glowing paper out into the mist without a second look, hoisted his bag higher onto his back and kept walking toward Orealis.

Oh that was the best part about the mist, how it confused and made things ten times worse than they were really. So she knew it would be a little hard to pinpoint exactly where she was at truely, although she had a fairly good idea where he was. Not exact but pretty damn close anyhow. Brushing her lips some of course not picking up on her mate spying around she could kick his butt for it later. Maybe. It wasn't like they didn't do that with each other why should it start changing now? Besides Jasel knew damn good and well how the vixen could be when she was on the prowl.
After her little call for help, her body froze listening the smirk staying on her face even after a little time. 'Mmm a male who doesn't play so easily into games...purrrrfect' she mentally purred out in excitment. closing her eyes once again slowly and allowing her body to become focused homing in on just the one person. His breathing, the sound of his heart, footsteps, scent everything that was Gabe she was focusing on and pulling towards her. Well figurative speaking that is.
His scent already had told her it wasn't human, nor vampire which was another bonus. It wasn't shifter them she was all too bloody familiar with to know, but his was slightly reminding her of both Jasel and herself just different. Which lead her more to believe he possible was a demon, but she couldn't be too sure with the mist still not giving all the clear clues she needed.
Shaking it off after a few moments Brin decided to up the fun a little with her new toy and while listening the best she could. Vanished suddenly from her location a little ways ahead to throw her plan into action. Not another word or sound leaving her of course no she was done with the vocal clues at least for now that is. Pressing her hand again along the rough base of a tree trying to get her barings straight the best she could.
Those bluish/green eyes slipping into a more vibrant blood red hue piercing as if they could reach into the depths of anothers soul. Her once lovely, goddess like body being replaces by one of true horror and leaving an eerie feeling around the aire. Her once tone, lilth body getting a sudden and impressive growth spurt along with an increase in her muscles to match the new size. Razor sharp fangs appearing slowly in her mouth as legs and arms length vanishing everything that made her Brin and replacing it with something of nightmares.
Claws that could shred through flesh like paper slipped into place against long, fingers that now hung against her side. Her form well over 6 foot tall, body black as night or more aside from the white spikes that stuck out along her arms. Each one besides being sharp as a razor held poison in their tips that burned flesh upon contract. A forked tail thrashing about in the air behind her covered much like her arms in sharp, razor fine spikes also endowed with poison helping to complete nearly all of her new look. Well at least till the wings appeared that is.
Leather in look and feel though without that beauty most winged creatues possesed. Hers appeared almost tattered but they weren't just the look it gave off. Black like her body and stretching out wide into the mist before flapping a few times sending it swirling around her and the area almost like a hurricane from the force. She truly was a sight to behold and a danger to anyone that had the misfortune of crossing her path, just too bad for Gabe she chose him as her new toy.
Once the transformation was done she pushed up and off the ground allowing those massive wings to beat casting her forward with such strength. Allowing her senses to once more guide her towards the target, getting as close as possible. Already knowing the sounds, scents like before would be slightly screwed up only she used it as an advantage.
Diving down and around where he should of been, yes even in this form seeing clearly in the mist was a little chore. Still she had herself more in tune at the moment she was fairly certain she wasn't mistaken where he was. Although she didn't touch it was more a chance to test him, see how he reacted to a few close calls before striking. It would quick and fast once she did but for now it was all just fun and games, she was a vixen and playing with her toys was something she relished.

Jasel was watching from the misty shadows. He was amused at the males lack of interest. Put him in mind to his own initial rendevous with his beautiful and sexy vixen. She wasn't his back then but they became close over time. His lack of interest must have caught her interest in a different way. She wasn't quite this way back then. He enjoyed their time in the other realm but once he had awakened and become whole with his two halves of a whole...he didn't like it so much. He had to then pretend to be good so that he could spy and get information for his mate. He watched as his tail started to twitch a bit. Shifting around much like a cat who was stalking a mouse. He saw her change and smirked. And so the games begin. He still did nothing.

Gabriel wasn't worried or afraid of whatever was in the mist. If it was gonna come at him, well then there would be a problem because he wasn't going to stand down to whatever it was. He wasn't the kind of guy to stand down to anything. He wasn't worried or afraid. The only thing that ever got to him was his 'siblings'. They were the only ones who ever really had any kind of effect on him. And now where were they? God only knew the answer for that.
He heard the flapping of wings from above just before seeing the dark shadow that swooped down at him before disappearing. Instead of panicking, Gabe rolled his eyes and kept walking. At least until it swooped down again. He ducked slightly, green eyes going to the sky or what little he could see of it through the mist that is. A faint sigh slipped through his lips as he walked, continuing to ignore the flapping creature above for as long as he could.
What finally made him pause was when the creature dove love enough that he caught a whiff of it's smell. Demon. With a growl he ripped the backpack from his back and dropped it to the ground by his feet. His transformation happened in a matter of seconds. One minute there he was, 6'3, 235lbs with brown hair and dark green eyes and paled skin. The next he stood there at a whopping 6'6, 250 lbs with dark brown hair and pale green eyes. His skin had darkened to the color of mocha. Another low growl ripped through his chest as the muscles in his torso and arms expanded exponentially to cause the wife beater he was wearing to strain with the pressure.
Again the bright eyes went to the sky, this time waiting for the demon to swoop low enough that he could grab her. And if he tried and failed the nails on each of his hands were sharp enough to tear through flesh and the teeth in his mouth were sharp enough to cut flesh as if it were nothing.

Sure the mist made things a little harder, not that the vixen seemed to care for the moment. Swooping down just a few feet from him the two times and he just seemed to keep going which had her mentally smiling. But it was when she heard something hit the ground than caught a glimpse of something and realized he had shifted. His scent hitting her better and she was confirmed by the demonic air. A rumbling growl slipped from her chest as she did do what he expected but when she got closer her body twisted around and those poison barded split tail came flying at his form.
Yea she was done being the teasing little demoness she wanted to cause a little more havoc. Why not with the new demon in town test him out a little, see just how good he really was. After all her and Jasel pretty much held the Orealis as their playground and anyone coming in was going to either be killed or tested.
Hoping the bards would connect with his form either on his side or chest it all depended on how he was standing. It was a little hard for either to truly see good enough to make this fight even fair. It was all a chance at the moment not particularly worried about his claws or fangs, she had them too and could do just the same amount of damage. Plus she had the spikes and barbs all of which were poison so, they both were going to be getting it in this fight.
Than again was Brin ever known to turn away from a fight? Hell no.

Jasel was willing to bet out of the three in this mist filled place...he was the only one that wasn't having any difficulty discerning things. He could see his mate quite clearly. He could see the now shifted demon male quite clearly. Being a mafia prince did have its benefits...you learn to see in any surrounding. Being in the mist was like being blindfolded no matter what you did. Eventually when in darkness your eyes adjust to the new lighting. Or lack there of. He kicked his legs over the edge of the tree. Ooooooooooooo....the games were getting quite interesting. Lets see what he does now. A dark grin on his face. Round one...DING!

He could tell from the sounds that she had wings, the flapping was obvious, even though the mist. Her shadow told him that she had a tail and that there was something protruding from that tail, which told him he had to be a little wary about it. Of course at this point he couldn't be sure if it was male or female and he wasn't going to make any assumptions just yet. Soon. But not yet. Those pale green eyes searched through the mist as he listened to the sounds around him, listened to the flapping to try and determine where the demon was.
The only question he had running through his head was, why was this demon messing with him? It wasn't as if demons were expressly territorial. Sure, you might come across a certain breed that didn't like it's home messed with or it's family or something, though it usually only kept it's 'territory' to one small-ish specific area. Gabriel wasn't stupid, he knew quite a bit about demons. After all, he was one.
As he searched the mist and listened to the sounds around him, he caught just the faintest sight at first to his left. Without hesitation he whipped his body in that direction just as the tail came flying toward his chest. He ducked out of the way of the swing, narrowly avoiding being hit in the shoulder. As soon as his body had cleared impact he growled out and reached his arms out to wrap both hands around the end of her tail. Unfortunately the small barbs toward the tip of her tail dug into his palms, but he ignored the pain for the moment as he jerked the demon's frame toward him. "F**kin' harpy." He growled out in a low gravelly voice.
He didn't know that by the smaller barbs catching his skin it was releasing poison onto him.. and at this point didn't care either. Right now it was more about pinning the demon down and figuring out why the hel the creature was messing with him. As far as her backing down from a fight? Well, he'd never instigated one. She had. So there was nothing for her to turn away or back down from..

The sounds coming from her wings she really wasn't too worried about since it didn't pinpoint completely her location. Just like her cry for help he had no true way of knowing which direction it had come from which was really funning to Brindara. As for the males own mental question that was simple: Brindara picked out a new play toy and he was it. Brin didn't care about anything but what she wanted, desired and usually got it. Right now she saw this male as a new fun toy to play with and use how she wished. OR possible something else she was the vixen after all, even Jasel knew how far she would go.
Demons are still horny creatures by heart and this female wasn't any different. But for now sex was in the far, far reaches of her mind. Just taunting to see how far he could be pushed it would let her know how easy or hard the toy was going to fight her. But it was when she had tried the attack and just missed that his growl caught her ears and she smiled. Right before her tail was grabbed and he yanked, a roar echoing from her chest as she jerked to try and pull away. Before shifting to come right back at him in a head on attack. Let him hold her tail she wasn't going to play nice either.
His little nickname for her had her mentally laughing really the names didn't bother her. I mean come on she had probably been called everything under the sun by now who carries. Yet she was surprised he continued to hold on with the poisonious barbs no doubt digging, cutting into his flesh and releasing the poison into his system. Who was she to complain though?
(Ooc: Jasel will just be watching so skip him for now.)

No, he had no idea that the barbs were poisonous. Thankfully they hadn't actually cut into his skin, though the poison was leaking onto his skin, searching for an opening into his body so that it could begin it's lethal assualt. As for the nickname. Well, he'd only ever met one demon with wings and he'd called that man a harpy too. Of course harpies were typically female, Gabe had just never seen a demon out of hell with wings. Any time he thought of demons with wings and tails he thought of the lower class minions described in the bible as the minions of hell, the ones that never left hell and took care of the torture and drill sergeant duties down in hell.
It wasn't that common to see demons on earth's surfaces with wings. Most of the time it was uncommon to see wings on angel's on earth's surface since if they came to earth their wings were hidden perfectly or they'd been stripped of them. So it was just a little amazing and even more annoying to him that the demon attacking him had wings and a tail.
Yeah, sure demons were sexually driven creatures, just a teenage boy. Though there were other desires and sometimes sex was just the last thing on their mind. For instance now. He didn't have a single thought of sex, or even bloodshed. His only thought was to get the demon away from him, get it to leave him be. He wasn't really in the mood for a fight, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't fight. Hell no, if it came down to a fight better believe he wouldn't back down from it.
Gabriel felt it when she shifted her flight pattern because the force he had to use to hold onto her tail lessened. So when she came at him head on he'd already dropped her tail, causing one of the barbs to scratch his forarm open. Pale green eyes locked onto the demon as it came closer to him, raising his hands and preparing to actually box the woman. If she were paying close enough attention she would note that there was no change in his breathing from before she'd began her attack to now. There was no significant change in his heart rate from then to now either, sure it beat a little quicker, though in demon form it had to so that it could support his now larger frame.
Gabriel wasn't worried or afraid. Hell, fighting was something he did well. It was the reason he'd been locked away in prison for so damned long. He would have gotten into more fights there if they hadn't kept him in solitary for so damned long.

No she wasn't like most demons given she had two very different blood types in her body. One she thinks about here and there, but slowly he has began to vanish completely from her thoughts. He was there when she needed him after losing the one man that had her heart since she can remember. Asher. His name still pierced at her soul, he truly was her soul mate and yet fate saw fit to take him away along with her father and Jordan. The pain from losing three men who had been there for her so long was too much and she fell.
Fell so hard that she never came back from it really as much as she faked that she had. That was how he got to her, slipping in when she was down and out yet at the same time filling her with something new. He had been something new that helped her to a point but even his connection, his power enough and she once more lost it. He had done one thing, awoken a darkness inside her that one never knew existed in Brinnie.
Than Jasel found her with his blood, his bond flowing through her veins, through her soul making her complete in a new way. Sure she wasn't that innocent, sweet and shy girl she was cruel, heartless and vindictivie to a point of sadistic pleasure. But she didn't care and wouldn't change it for anything.
So sure her appearance wasn't what Gabe was use too didn't mean much to her. Maybe he'd underestimate her. But something told her he wasn't all that he appeared either. Smirking when he released her tail as she came at him and seeing a barb cut into his arm. His new position had her raising a brow as she still came. Swinging around and bringing her leg in to land against him. He wanted to fight the old fashion way than so be it. Didn't mean she would completely fair...than again maybe she would? You never knew what to expect from Brindara on any given day. Now wasn't any different, though she was having fun taunting the male.

Gabriel watched and waited with his fists raised in front of him in preparation of a fight. Pale green eyes never left her form while she came at him, causing his eyes to narrow. He still didn't realize that the barbs that had cut him had started to release the poison into him, he'd find that out later, hopefully before it was too late. Thankfully it was only one cut and only a small amount of poison, meaning it would take a while to do any real damage.
He watched as her leg came around toward him and couldn't help but chuckle quietly. Obviously this demon didn't realize who she was messing with. Gabriel was a class A fighter, knew plently of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) as well as some hardcore kickboxing and anything he'd managed to learn in prison. Hand-to-hand combat was probably not the best way to approach him.
So when her leg came around to aim at his chest he placed his right hand on her calf and pushed the blow off to the side, leaving her kicking at air. No sooner did his hand leave her calf it balled into a quick fist and shifted up, aiming a hit to the right side of her face. If he hit then immediately afterward his left hand would come up in an attempt to connect with her jaw. If he missed then he would jump back out of the way of any counter attack she might throw at him.

Oh see Brin wasn't too serious right now, she taunted and played with her toys. If she was actually pissed off than that would be a whole other story now in how she fought. So when he touched her ankle pushing the attack she laughed before dodging his as she shot up. Laughing a little more, rather liking him right now. "Your fun" Nothing to much just stating a simple fact before she hovered a moment in the air circling around him slowly.
Allowing her tail every now and than to swing out and around to see his reaction. She wasn't actually moving to hit him this time, just pushing to see what he did, a test if you will now that she knew he would fight. Licking her tongue out over her lips almost hungrily. 'Mmm I wonder what this male is all about.' Musing as she shot forward again coming at his back this time her own arms coming out to take a swipe at him. If she missed oh well no biggy.
