Talk With Mom (for Kallye)

[Bayden Celestborn]

Bayden had spent as much time with Phoenix as he could. Yet still took his alchemy lessons from his father and swordplay from both Hero and Dart. He hoped to talk with his mother about Phoenix soon. He liked her a lot and they understood each other better than anyone he had met in a long time. He felt a great connection to Phoenix and at times neither had to say anything. They just seemed to know what the other was thinking or needing. It was strange to him and his mother was the wisest woman he knew of. He knew his mother was still Hero's castellion. Whatever that was. Just knew she helped keep up the day to day things in the house. He knocked on his mother's room.

Dart had apparently left because he didn't hear Jujo's normal chirped answer. He knocked a bit louder and hoped his mother was up. "Mom?" He called out softly. Maybe his mother could make sense of the strange feelings he was having. It just felt nice to have a connection with someone who didn't make him not be himself. Phoenix didn't ask him to speak up or say it again. He knew his mother and Dart were deeply in love. He had a feeling eventually his mother would have another kid.


He wondered what it would be like to be a big brother. He waited now for Kallye to come to the door.

[Kallye]

~Honestly Kallye and Dart were spending more and more time alone together unless he was out training the kids. She was rather enjoying it honestly, but never had either of them spoken about kids. I mean they had three sure the triplets weren't Dart's by blood but still they were his kids as far as her and Dart cared.

He had just left to go work on some of his ideas and Kallye was just finishing up from a bath. Slipping on a halter top and some jeans thankfully specially made for her species. A light breath leaving her lips as she pushed some of her wavy pink hair back behind her ears. Purring softly while that tail flickered back and forth some behind her. Though hearing the door she smiled some and walked over pulling it open.~ "Yes Bayden?"

Bayden waited for his mother. Shifting side to side as he waited. Maybe she wasn't in? He heard her making her way over to the door. It had his ears twitching. So she was in...good. That made it easier since he didn't have to try to track her down. Tracking people down was more Analia's specialty and not a talent of his. He smiled when he saw his mother. Hugging her lightly before pulling back a bit. Looking up at her. "Can I talk with you?" He said. Yes it had been a long time since he had said more than the three words of I love you to his mother. "Please?" He asked softly. His mother had really good hearing too so he didn't have to speak up more than a bit. The fact that he was talking to her more than a few words would be an indication he had something important he wanted to talk to her about.

~It wasn't a big deal that the kids were usually running around more than talking to either of their parents. So when she got the hug and heard his voice she easily raised a brow before nodding some. That tail swaying some behind her a little moving so that he could enter before closing the door. His behavior seemed a little nervous and that wasn't her son which had her even more curious.

Wrapping an arm around him while she gave him another hug and moved towards the couch.~ "Alright. What is on your mind Bayden? Your never this nervous even around family so it has to be something big." ~Slipping down and pulling her feet up under her, while those bright red eyes stayed focused on him for the moment.~

Bayden was nervous but mostly because he didn't understand what he was feeling. Or why he was so comfortable yet at the same time a bit nervous around Phoenix. She was so easy to talk to. They had long conversations where most of the time they didn't have to make length statements to be understood. It was strange and new and that made him nervous. He was worried something might be wrong with him as he had never felt this way before. He followed her without letting go of her more than was necessary. Enjoying the second hug as much as the first. He sat on the couch next to his mother. Well now how did he go about talking about this topic?

He figured he should just jump right in. This next series of comments would be the most his mother would have heard him talk even when Enya had been around. Another sign it was important. He spoke more when Enya was with them but not as much as he would to explain what he needed to tell her. "There is this girl. Her name is Phoenix." He started out. "Hero took her under his wings. She is living here." He added. He ran a hand through his hair. A faint tint of pink came to his cheeks.

"She is friends with me. I don't have to speak up. I don't have to repeat myself. I am really comfortable with her. She understands me. I feel connected to her like I've never felt with someone not Enya." He paused for a moment. "Sometimes we don't have to speak. She knows what I'm saying even with just a few words." He kept pausing but it was due to not speaking this much in a long time. "Sometimes we don't need to speak...we just know. Know what the other is thinking or needing." His cheeks were growing more and more pink as he continued on.

"I like her and she is really nice. I feel a really deep connection and I don't understand it." He looked at his mother. "Is something wrong with me? I feel really happy around her. Its like...unable to express with words. I haven't felt this happy with anyone since Enya left." He looked a bit red by now. Looking at his mother for words of wisdom. He said nothing else. End of the longest series of comments Bayden has said to anyone outside of Enya. He just now waited for his mother to speak.

~When he sat down she leaned back waiting to hear what it was he needed to tell her. He wasn't usually one to be so damn nervous and it had her curious as to what this was all about. Tilting her head her arm on the back of the couch, with her fist propping up her head, eyes staying on him.

As he began she could of giggled when it was a girl, though as he continued and she realized who her humor vanished. That tail flickered back and forth a little before she exhaled and looked away from her sons face a moment knowing all to well what it sounded like.~ "I know who you speak and she isn't a girl Bayden, she is woman probably quite a few years older than myself or your father. Vampires aren't exactly human or age like us, hell they don't age at all." ~Pushing herself up she moved to the window swaying her tail back and forth in frustration.

Looking out a moment she exhaled not at all liking her son having feelings for someone like that. Not to mention she was leary of vampires no matter what and the fact this one was around her son. Sure she knew all to well about Hero taking her in Kallye did work here after all nothing really got by her period. Though she hadn't been aware her son was near the woman.~ "I'm not happy about this Bayden, being friends is one thing but what your describing goes beyond that." ~Rubbing her forehead some to hold back a growl that was slowly working its way inside her chest. Her son and a vampire oh no...ain't happening.~
