Marcy wasn't so much surprised many patients acted as he did, so it wasn't too odd. Nodding when he held up on the tape before she slipped out smirking some to herself, glancing to the doctor as he came from his office again. Seeing the vials in her hand and smiled though said nothing. It wasn't needed he knew his girls would get to work on the blood both with basic tests and their others to see if he could be a workable part of their experiments.
Knocking once on the door he walked in smiling to Markus as he closed the door, "Thanks for waiting and I see Marcy got the blood, good now lets see the form. Before we go on with anything else shall we?" Taking the other chair and pulling it up before taking the papers and reading over them quietly. His eyes scanning the information closely, not making a noise just reading and making mental notes on anything he needed to remember. "Hmm okay, these headaches, mirgraines how often are you experiencing them? And you mentioned arthritis head injury, is that from the shrapnal?"
Looking up slowly as he held the paper and waited for the responses before going on further.

Markus watched as the nurse slipped out of the room, carefully holding the gauze over the mark to his arm and putting pressure on it to be sure the bleed stopped. He was silent, leaning carefully back against the counter as he waited for Johunas to return. At the sound of the knock his gaze shifted to the door, giving a faint smile to the doctor, one that vanished almost too quick to have been seen. He nodded and waved off the doctors thanks before passing the form over so that the man could take a look.
At the question of how often he had the migraines Markus chuckled faintly. "I live with a constant headache. From the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep. Since it happened-" he pointed toward the back of his head to indicate the shrapnel "-not a single day has gone by without a headache. The migraines I get two, maybe three times a week, all varying in intensity. Sometimes there's a trigger, too loud of sounds or too bright of a light for instance, and others it just comes on without a cause." He stated as he turned his gaze onto the small hole in his arm, taking a quick peek at the hole to see if it still bled before covering it back up with the gauze and nodding.
"Yes, the doctor I saw at Oxford told me that it was inoperable, no matter what they wanted to try there was too high of a risk. He also told me that I would deal with the migraines for the rest of my life. He tried to prescribe some muscle relaxers, figuring it might help, though nothing has and I highly doubt anything ever will." He stated before falling silent to let the doctor do whatever it was he needed to next or ask whatever he needed to. Markus realized he'd talked a lot since coming into the clinic, which was necessarily a bad thing, but Markus didn't really like to talk, he preferred to listen.

Johunas didn't pay the smile vanishing any mind just read of the paperwork before listening as Markus explained. Nodding once in awhile or giving a faint response but other wise allowed him to continue. Adding a little about what at times caused the migraines before he moved to take a look if Markus allowed at the wound. "May I?" If he said it was alright he would carefully at least for now to inspect the scar before moving back from him to the chair once more.
"Hmm usually in situations like yours the migrains unfortunately come with the territory. I could try seeing if we perhaps having some sleeping pills. Or perhaps a stronger dose of muscle relaxers if you like." Tilting his head some before he looked back over the paper before placing it into the file he made for Markus. "Alright we have the basic information on you and I think you, now if your not in a hurry or anything. Perhaps we can go through just a basic physical. Or we can let it go and just wait for the blood tests to come back."

Markus didn't bother with a curious expression when the doctor asked to feel the scar, instead just tipped his head and pointed to the space so that the doctors hands wouldn't be running through his hair trying to find it. His eyes rested on the floor while the steady hands of a professional moved over the old wound. He noticed immediately that the doctor's touch hadn't had nearly the same effect as they had when Tasha's had gone through his hair earlier that evening. A bite to his lip before straightening up when the man moved away once more.
At the doctor's suggestion, Markus shook his head quickly. "No, thank you." He declined politely. "The muscle relaxers make me too tired to function properly, I would rather go without them. And sleeping pills don't work. They tried them on me once when I was on leave and had trouble sleeping-" due to the PTSD, though he wouldn't admit that "-but even in high doses they had little to no effect other than making me slightly drowsy. It wasn't enough to make me sleep though." He remembered the doctor talking about using a dose meant for horses, something that was 'guarenteed to knock you out for a couple of hours' and even that barely made an effect. Sure, he'd crashed out within minutes of the injection, but he'd only slept for an hour before he was wide awake and pumped for whatever came next.
Dr. Barker had said that Markus was something of a modern medical miracle. What with surviving the shrapnel that should have killed him, rarely sleeping and still having energy to go, the fact that most medicines didn't really effect him, he rarely got sick. The most mysterious was the shrapnel, by far. He'd been told that at some point the oxygen in his blood would begin to effect the metal in his head, that at some point the shrapnel would begin to rust and the rust would eventually kill him. That he'd get sick -very, very sick- that his migraines would get worse and worse, that his appetite would decrease, that eventually the rust would cause a blood clot that would turn to an aneuryism that would pop one of the vessels or veins or arteries in his brain and kill him. That he wouldn't know what was happening until it was too late.
There were days he actually prayed for it to happen so that he wouldn't have to keep fighting to make it through another day. But it seemed that the metal was holding solid, that rust wasn't coming to it. Maybe it would take more than the ten years since he'd gotten it for it to actually rust, maybe it wouldn't happen until he was in his 50's or even his 70's. That didn't stop him from praying it would take him. Of course he didn't voice a single bit of this to the good doctor. Depression was pretty much par for the course in this world anymore. Everyone was depressed about something. About the lack of loved ones, or the sicknesses that were taking over the land or whatever else. Depression just happened anymore, it wasn't something that could be controlled, so what was the point in telling the doctor about it? there wasn't one. So he kept it to himself.

"Alright than. But if you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask alright? Now with that being said lets go ahead and get some basic exams done and let you be on your way. I will wait till the test are done before saying yes or no officially for you joining,. But from what I see you should be just fine." Smiling some to him before turning to set the file down and grabbing his scope to check on the breathing, heart, lungs all the usual.
Instructing Markus to remove his shirt before proceeding with the first part having him breath in deeply and out. Moving the cold piece of metal along his chest just in the areas needed before repeating the same thing on his back. Than took the scope off and wrapped it over his neck, before grabbing the bloodpressure cuff and strapping it to his left arm. Than took the thermometer and motioned for him to open wide.
Once it was in place he shifted the ear pieces back into their place and the scope just over his veins. Slowly pumping up the bloodpressure cuff knowing that it would feel extremely tight against his arm but only a moment. Than slowly began allowing the air back out, watching the gauge the whole time before he relaxed, "160 over 80, your lungs, heart and all sound good. "
Grabbing his little scope and light before checking his ears both sides than which the top and did an eyes check as well. Honestly he seemed the perfect candidate and just needed to wait on the blood work. "I do believe that is about all I need to test for, unless you need me to run anything else. Or have thought of something the might be important, but if not that I believe you are free to go."

"If I think of anything I'll be sure to let you know, sir." Markus said with a little nod, though doubted he would actually be coming to the man for medication. After all, he didn't need it. Not that he thought anyway. His tongue brushed over his lips, yanking his shirt over his head and draping it across his knee while the doctor listened to his heart and lungs before feeling the cool metal brush across the black ink on his back. A faint shiver ran up his spine from the metal, though nothing further happened. He was silent, breathing in deeply when told, releasing to breath when instructed, sitting still as needed.
He wiggled the thermometer under his tongue for a moment, hating the feel of it digging into the flesh under his tongue, though left it alone so that the doctor could get a temperature read. Unfortunately for Markus his tempurature normally ran high, around 99.8-100 degrees, usually people thought he was sick, but it was just the way his body was. It explained why he rarely got cold and probably why he rarely got sick, his temperature ran too high for most infections to do anything.
He sat in silence as Johunas finished everything that he needed to before the man stepped back, Markus gratefully extracted the thermometer from between his lips and passed it back to the doctor as the man spoke. He shook his head lightly. "No, I don't think there's anything else. So will I be just waiting here or are you going to contact me at Tasha's when you know whether or not you'll be hiring me?" He asked as he pulled his shirt back over his head before pusing his arms through the sleeves of his jacket.

Johunas was writing down the results for the bloodpressure and temperature. Noting that his body was running a little higher than the average, but could tell he was just one of those special cases. Making sure he had enough for now and would need to wait for the blood tests before deciding further and slowly looked back over. "I think your good to go, I can send a letter to Lady Tasha's home for you when we have the other tests results. But everything seems to look good. So with that being said I think you can consider yourself hired young man. "
Smiling some for a moment as he stuck out his hand for them to shake, he would wait if he took it or not before letting his hand fall back. Picking up the paperwork, the files making sure he had everything before moving to get ready to leave, only pausing a moment to make one last comment. "Let me know if you ever want to get some prescriptions for the pain and headaches. But I will speak with you soon Markus." With that the doctor slipped back out smirking once he was in the hallway.
Yes Markus seemed like the perfect speciman do some hardcore tests with. He was human after all so what better way to see how their blood meshed with other species. Plus he was with Tasha that made their target a much easier one. Well one of their targets that is, Orealis had many good choices.

Markus nodded when Johunas spoke, giving the man a gentle smile. "Sounds good to me. I'm sure Lady Tasha would be glad to hear that the clinic has gained another doctor." He said carefully. He still wasn't sure what was going on here, there was no tell-tale sign that there even was something going on. But he knew one thing for certain. The doctor and the nurse both put off these weird vibes that made his skin crawl, made him nevous to the core. Of course it didn't show though. Markus was careful about that. He smiled as he reached out and took Johunas' hand, giving it a firm shake before releasing it and taking a step back from the man.
"Will do, Doc." He responded with a smile as he straightened out his jacket zipped it up halfway. Yeah right? Markus wasn't likely to take anything for the migraines or anything else. Nothing worked right, what was the point in trying? He shook his head before slipping out of the door and down the hallway toward the front door. He needed to inform Tasha on what he'd learned.. but for now he would wait. After all. He hadn't learned anything.
(End RP, NPC can start next when they've decided if Markus is hired)
