Knox had smiled at the fact that she had taken down two that had planned to take him down while he was moving backwards, and chuckled darkly when she'd spoken of biting her. He had known that there was no way in hell he'd be able to run with both of his packs and her and her back on his back as just himself. He needed that extra weight, that extra muscle mass to be able to support all the weight. Knox easily carried her and everything else into the forest and even after she told him that he could slow down, he didn't. He merely shook his head and kept going for another five or ten minutes, he'd lost track of time really. Finally he slowed down and then came to a stop, gently sliding her off of his back. He panted, pressing a hand against the closest tree to take the breath and calm his racing heart. "Why'd they stop chasing us?" He wondered aloud as everything about him shifted back to normal.
The halfling took in a slow breath, dark eyes turning back toward Katerina as he shrugged the dufflebag off of his shoulders and dropped it onto the forest floor. He then shrugged out of the backpack, setting it onto the floor sitting down onto it. He brushed his hands back through his hair, turning his gaze over to her. "Now what?" He asked her. It was quiet, it looked as though their persuers had given up the chase and he couldn't figure out why.. or what they were supposed to do next. A sense of boredom crept up on him as he tapped his right foot against the floor which bounced his entire frame.

Knox could think all the wanted on the not having friends and all. But it didn't matter to Kat he had already helped her she wasn't leaving his ass hanging no matter what. She didn't exactly call them friends but for now she trusted him over anyone else even if he didn't feel the same way. Looking back slowly though sighed when he kept going still let him go, she wasn't going to try and jump off and possible rip the stitches. Hearing the question she sighed some before shaking her head, "I have no damn clue, but it was like they just froze on the edge of the treeline. Before turning and walking away. If I didn't know better I would think they were blocked, but I can't say."
She wasn't going to complain honestly if they couldn't come in that was points for them. Feeling the boy finally slowing down before he did stop and let her off his back. Stopping his backpack removal by grabbing his face and kissing him hard, though pulled back and smiled. "Thanks." Moving to step away she turned around and removed her bag laying it near the tree before slipping down to the ground and letting out another breath. "I think we need to find a place to stay for now, if I can figure were we are at from here. There was a cave up some in the forest well before I found that bloody bear. See if we can find it would give us an advantage incase someone comes looking." Leaning her head back and lifting the shirt to look at her side, it was sore but no blood so at least they didn't rip.

"Maybe to some point they are blocked. They're not normal humans.. and I know there are spells and enchantments that keep certrain races out of other areas, hell sometimes they don't even need a spell, sometimes the race just can't go places. Like there's some races of demons," he pointed back and forth between himself and her as he spoke, "that can't enter water, or I'm pretty sure I heard of different kinds of Fae that are unable to enter woods.. Could be anything, honestly." He said with a simple shrug of his shoulders. Knox had to admit, he was curious as to why they hadn't followed, but he was glad that they hadn't, he was getting pretty exhausted. He brushed a hand back through his hair, noticing a slight sheen of sweat on his forehead from all the activity.
And then before he could do anything else the girl had taken his face in her hands and kissed him. He stood frozen, with his hands on the straps of the duffle, mostly out of shock than anything else. If he'd been expecting it.. things would have played out differently. Unfortunately for him just as she started to pull away was when his wits came back and he shifted his hands, nearly getting them to her waist before she pulled away. Hearing her, he dropped his hands to his sides and nodded. "No problem.." He breathed, turning away from her to finally remove the bags from his back. He'd just plopped himself down onto his backpack when she spoke again, causing him to shake his head. "I disagree with you. I think we should stay right where we are. If we venture too much further into the woods we run a risk of getting lost of running into something else out there. If we try to find a cave there could be all kinds of problems. From this spot I know exactly how to get back to town, I know how to get to the other side of town and back to the road out of here.. I think we should stay right where we are for the night." He said obstinately.
Knox could be very stubborn sometimes.. and he knew it. If she wanted to venture off on her own, well that was her perogative and he wouldn't stop her, but he wasn't moving.. besides, he needed the rest. His hands came up to rub at his arms, the tiny pin pricks from where they'd taken his blood just hours before had already vanished, he flashed a glance to where they'd been and smirked. Knowing what she was he looked back at her once more. "Needle marks gone?" He asked, watching her a moment. She didn't seem as aware of it as he was.

Kat was looking back towards the forest in the direction they had come while he spoke before it jerked back his way. Those green eyes were staring at him and in complete shock when he spoke motioning between them both before she shook her head. "What are you talking about? Demons, Fae..Knox I'm human as you are. Granted you seem to be alot stronger and faster but hell that doesn't make you a bloody freak." Shaking her head trying to not even think about it.
The kiss she sure as hell couldn't made into something else and apart of her was wanting to actually. Yet she didn't for now maybe knowing they both where exhausted who knows. Wasn't like Kat to push a guy like Knox away easily. Giving him a smile before she had sat back down, leaning some on her own bag damn near wanting to sleep. Though as he spoke she let out a breath closing her eyes slowly thinking about it for a mere moment. "I suppose your right. I could probably sleep anywhere honestly, my body feels like I haven't for days." Shaking her head again leaning still debating about dozing off or actually trying for a nape till he questioned the marks.
Blinking open her eyes she looked over at him a moment before shifting to see her arms. There were just faint little dots she could make out but they looked more like freckles honestly and she tilted her head some. "Nearly, look like tiny freckles on my skin. Why do you ask?"

A brow arched up at her words, watching her with confusion before he shook his head. "You're kidding me right?" He asked rhetorically, a slow grin filling his lips. Knox shook his head. "You know damned well I'm not some mere human.. and you should know, seeing as it's you, that you're not either." He scoffed out, now eyeing her as if she'd lost her mind. He could smell it on her, he'd seen it with his own eyes with the bear. She wasn't some little human.. and he'd known for years on end that he wasn't either. His dark eyes scrutinized her, narrowing slightly as he dug into the duffle for a bottle of water and then into his bag for some of the jerky that he'd stocked up on.
He would have held onto the kiss, if he hadn't been shocked she'd done it in the first place. He really hadn't been expecting it at all. A yawn stretched his mouth though as she mentioned being able to sleep anywhere. He knew he was certainly able to, and by the gods did he need sleep. Knox popped the cap on the water bottle and took a long drink from it as she spoke, chuckling and nodding. "Good, because I really don't want to run anymore.. and if their not following us I'm going to assume we're safe here." He stated as he tore the wrapper on the jerky and popped a rather large piece into his mouth. His shoulders shrugged up at her question. "Further proof that you're a halfling and I'm right." He stated with a little grin pulling at his lips.

Kat furrowed her own brow at his question before rolling her eyes some and narrowed them slightly. "What the fuck do you mean Knox? I know we don't know each other but don't think you can sit there calling me something I can't possible be." Dropping her shirt some and leaning back against the tree before she reach into the duffle and grabbed a bottle of water for herself and some crackers for now to munch on.
Another light breath leaving her lips after downing some of the water helping to ease some of the soreness in her throat. Shaking her head some about him not wanting to run anymore and slowly pulled a smirk on her face. "I bet I could get you to run again but for a totally different reason of course." Winking before watching as he tore into the jerky and than finally answered her other question. "Shut up. I'm not some damn halfling or whatever you think I am alright?" She had no clue hell she didn't even know anything past the days recently, memories were something she afforded really.

"What do I mean? How the hell can you not tell? You're not a little human girl, you've got demon blood in you, strong too by the smell of it. How-.." He paused, staring at her with narrowed eyes and furrowed brows. Knox swallowed hard as he shook his head. "You.. you really don't know?" He asked, almost smuggly. How did she not know what she was, how did she not know that there wasa demon waging war inside of her right this moment, that it was always on the fight to break free, to take control of the girl. His nose wrinkled up a little before he simply shook his head.
He took another drink of water, finishing the bite of jerky that was in his mouth before popping in another one. At her little tease, a brow arched up lightly. "Oh? And how do you suppose you'll do that?" He asked, looking skeptical and still vagely smug. She wasn't as tough as she thought, at least not in his mind. He sucked in a slow breathe to clear out his head as he watched her. When she yelled at him to shut up he merely smirked to himself and shrugged his broad shoulders up quickly. "Whatever you say, Kat." He said in response, chewing at the piece of jerky in his mouth and shifting so that his bottom was in the grass and his back and elbow rested on his pack.

Kat was taking another bite of the crackers and a sip of water when he spoke and she narrowed those green eyes on him again. Before hearing the hesitation in his voice as he actually seemed to start and understand. Caping the water and laying it and the crackers on her bag though not looking at him."I..I suppose there is alot I don't know and given I really have no memory of growing up, my family, where I come from. Hell wouldn't know my name save for the locket charm around my neck." Shifting up and sighed softly wrapping her arms around her a moment. Staring back out over the forest a moment.
Jerking back around at his smug tone in the question before he brushed off the yell and she growled. Suddenly not even realizing she moved that fast and had his arms pinned to the tree, her eyes a deep blue looking back into his. Pressing her hips down on him and knew he would feel the muscles tightening around his own before she claimed his lips. Harder this time almost in a demand, the grip on his wrists wasn't loosening she was not happy at the moment. Hating when people doubted her it was one trigger to piss her off. A feral grow slipping from deep in her chest.

"Isn't the fact that you don't know enough to convince you that something is up?" He asked, a brow arching. "I mean.. come on, Kat. If I couldn't remember my past and had these super sensitive abilities-" of course talking about her sight, smell, taste and hearing, "-that would be enough to convince me that I wasn't just a mere little human." He stated with a shrug of his shoulders as he popped another piece of jerky into his mouth. Knox let the chocolate gaze dart about the trees, watching the leaves move in the slight breeze, listening to smaller critter scurry around in the undergrowth somewhere.
Despite everything that had happened today in the city, it was actually pretty peaceful out here. At the same time, Knox truly hated the woods. He spent too much time in them already. He heard the growl from the girl and completely ignored it. He really hadn't been expecting Kat to throw herself across the small space like she had, and if he had been expecting it, there is no way in hell that she would have pinned him the way she did. When his back hit the leaves and twigs that littered the forest floor he arched a brow, looking up at her, completely unphased. Actually, he looked rather bored.. at least until her lips connected with his. Instead of sitting like the frozen goob he had last time he lifted his head from the ground, returning the kiss deeply, his lips meshing easily with hers, moving in time with hers, not even fighting back against the hold she had on his wrists. He didn't give a damn about it.

Kat pursed her lips to say something but than looked back down just lost in her own thoughts. Shaking her head some faintly before sighing softly, "That is just it Knox...I don't remember anything. Hell I remember falling from the tree and the bear coming at me but nothing else. Till you woke me up at the clinic that is." No she didn't think about the other inhancements to her body at all, hell she didn't really know what she did. Blacking out and having no memory from when she did till she woke up. Although didn't say much else unsure what to think and wondered if he was indeed right. Sure there was something odd about him that she could admit.
But when he reacted this time to the kiss she nipped at his bottom lip playfully and growled. No he might of stopped or countered if he had been prepared but he wasn't and Katerina was taking full, full advantage of his lacking. Keeping him where he had no control at least for the moment although right now only kissing him. Having thankfully not seeing that bored look or she might of not been a happy girl at the moment. 'At least he does know how to react to a kiss unlike the last time.' Her thoughts musing over it although that had been strickly a thank you. Which she didn't give likely and did mean. Debating about letting his hands go and slowly pulled from the kiss only to nip along his jawline up his neck to his ear."Tell me Knox...ever been dominated by a female?"
Growling softly before attacking his lips again hard leaning over him so he was back laying on the ground for the moment.

"I think that I would take that as a hint that maybe there's something more going on." He stated to the comment of not remembering. Knox had gone through basically the same thing so many years ago, before he had control over the beast that raged within. It had taken a long time to get the control he needed over the beast, and that was without help. He hadn't finally had completely control until a couple of years ago.. even at that, he'd lost a bit of the control when his mother had died.. He was just thankful he hadn't hurt anyone because of it. He didn't give a damn about what happened to other people, but he didn't want to be some sort of monster, he wouldn't allow himself to be.
He took in a slow breath through his nose as her teeth grazed his lower lip, making him lean up just a hair more to push his lips even harder against hers. The last time she'd kissed him, he'd just been shocked it had happened, not having expected the girl to do anything, that was the only reason he hadn't reacted. And sure, he was shocked this time, but not nearly as much. Besides, he kind of wanted to know just how things could go. Still, the halfling didn't try to free his hands, he was fine with where they were for the moment. His head dropped back a hair when her lips pulled away and began the little nips along to his ear. A slow whisp of air slipped from his mouth before hearing her question, making a faint chuckle escape him, a grin pulling at his lips. "No," he said simply, "I never give them the chance." A brow arched, holding that little grin until her lips hit his again. In one swift movement he yanked his wrists from under her hands and rolled his shoulder to flip them over, putting himself on top of her and between her legs. He didn't try to pin her down, instead used one of his hands to hold himself up, the ther rested on her thigh.
He snickered quietly as he held the kiss, grazing her bottom lip with his teeth before his tongue brushed over the same spot, seeking out her own.

Kat just let out a breath between her lips at his comment, shaking her head some softly. "I don't think your getting it Knox. There are no memories for me to even think about I can remember just a short time prior. But nothing from years, months ago and if you didn't notice I only remembered falling from the tree and the bear coming at me. Than waking up in the clinic. There are intrivals of my life I can't recall missing time frames on certain days as if I blacked out or something. So why would I? I don't know anything beyond the days I'm in alright?"
Her tone was a light growl it was like he didn't believe her or something and that frustrated her. Although that annoyance took a backseat when she attacked him, well not to harm him....yet. He pissed her off she might. Hearing is little words she smirked before kissing him again hard only to feel him jerk his wrists free and she gasped being put on her back. Panting some as she looked back up at him than noticed he wasn't pinning her and those legs captured his waist tightly.
Think constricter if your wondering how tight she can hold. Kat was tone and had strength in places most woman didn't think or try too. Growling through the kiss but she didn't break it, instead grabbed his shirt yanking him closer. One keeping a hold of it the other pressing against his neck, grazing nails against the skin. His teeth mimicking her little more had her smiling before her tongue connected with his.

For the moment he let the whole subject of her memory just evaporate. They'd eventually come back to it, but right now his mind wasn't focusing on the conversation, his mind was far too lost in her. His lips moved seemlessly over hers as her legs wrapped around his waist. He pressed himself more fully against her, the hand at her hip slid slowly back to her knee and then back down to her hip again to slip under her, resting at her lower back as he yanked her hips to his.. Knox smirked inside the kiss, curling his tongue slowly around hers. A quiet rumble sounded at the back of his throat feeling her nails drag across his spine. He sucked in a breath, shifting the hand that supported him to her hair, giving a little tug as his fingers tangled up.

(Fade from Black)
He laughed gently at her when she spoke, a brow arching up slowly. "Did you see all the food I snagged? I think there's going to be more than enough." He said, still chuckling to himself. Knox shook his head, finding the bottle of water in his bag and taking a long drink from the bottle, draining nearly half of it. He dug around until he found a second bottle and rolled it across the grass right into her outstretched hand. A smirk and a wink followed before he began digging though the bags once more. Something with carbs, he needed something to get his strength back. His tongue danced over his lower lip to wet it before having the bright idea to pour the cool water onto his face, leaning back just a hair to let it fall over him. A sigh of relief slipped past his lips, the cool water working more effectively than a large fan would have.
Taking in a slow breath he looked back to her, shrugging his shoulders quickly. "You're right though, we do need to find a good place to wash up or something.." He said with a frown, not really sure he liked the idea of venturing back into the city this late at night. As far as a bed went, he really didn't mind sleeping in the grass, he'd done it often enough. Though the idea of a bed was vastly more appealing to him. He finally found what he was looking for in the bag and dropped back into the grass. Nothing major, nothing that would quell his appetite, but it was packed with carbs and nutients that would sustain him for a while. Just a simply power bar, he'd stolen enough of them. He grabbed a second one and tossed it gently toward her where it would land on her bare stomach lightly.
Again he grinned over at her, popping his own bar between his teeth while he reached for his clothes, quickly yanking them back into place.. well his boxers and jeans anyway. He wasn't as concerned with a shirt at the moment. He took another bite from the bar, chewing slowly. "Think you've got the energy to make it back to town and run a search for somewhere -to- bathe and rest?" He asked, a brow arching because he seriously doubted she did.. hell he barely did. He'd be content enough to kick back and use his bag as a pillow and just crash out here.

She looked back up at him and sighed some before nodding, "Yes I saw the powerbars and things your got. That is hardly something to call a meal Knox. Granted it might give you some strength, but not nearly what a full out meal could. And if your willing to look past how much you hate it, why not use the money I stole and eat something much more filling?" Smiling up at him some befoe laying back only to feel something hit her hand.
Seeing the bottle of water she sat back up and quickly downed nearly half before letting out a contended sigh. Licking her tongue out over her lips and looked back around the forest a moment. Smiling some as he did agree with her and she nodded glancing back over at him a short moment. "Good. Glad you saw it my way for a change and I have noticed a few places just on the outskirts that didn't have people. Perhaps we can stay there or find a place in town." Shrugging some before looking at what hit her stomach.
Laying back still on the ground a moment staring up at the ground ignoring that damn grin on his face. Though hearing him she glanced over and narrowed her eyes at him a moment before sighing some. Letting her eyes close a moment not caring if she was still naked never bothered her before.
