"Your certainly right about that one." Shaking her head some before seeing his gun and looked back up at him. Turning to glance back at the one he found for her and sighed some softly. Though slowly turned back around and caught that smirk playing over his lips and she smiled even more so hearing his words. Slipping one hand up and lightly traced her finger along his cheek a few times. "No trust me...I'm not like most woman when it comes to what I dish out. And believe me when I say mixing pleasure and pain is a whole lot more fun than one might think." Clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth before keeping herself relaxed while he worked.
Though the laugh and than his words had her rolling those green eyes, "Uggg men are so conceeded when it comes to woman." Although the words were a little mean her smile wasn't. She rather liked his cockiness to be honest it was different from other mens, and something told her everything he was saying he damn well mean too. Which was another interesting fact about him. Turning when she heard the name and looked back at him. "Pleasure Knox." Laughing herself before she quickly caught herself at him trying to retain he didn't mind the marks just not when he was busy concentrating.
"Mmmm remind me to actually test that theory when your 'not' concentrating." Shaking her head and could tell he really was concentrating and closly her eyes for the time. Trying to not think about what he was doing and the faint tinge of pain she would feel here and there. Usually the more red the area she would hiss through her teeth and soon relax once more. Not even realizing how long it was taking them before he was up and she watched raising a brow but seeing the blood she kind of understood. Sitting back up and glanced to the closed wound feeling a little better now. Nodding about the better safe than sorry comment letting him wrap the gauze before placing her hand on his shoulder to get down.
No at this time she didn't want to risk them ripping and doing that all over again either. Smirking as he placed the gun in her waistband and smiled slipping it in back before pulling on the haltertop and tying it about her neck. That locket charm still the only piece still on her body for the time being. Taking the bullets and moved to grab one of the bags but not before grabbing the granola bar he threw and smiled. "Thanks" Heading off to grab the bag, sticking the bullets in the outter pocket and than went to about getting some extra clothes. Though nearly all the pants were leather just varied in color or style. The tops was the odd thing about her some like the current piece others a little tighter and than those with longer sleeves.
Just a couple pairs of each item she needed in her sizes before glancing to see if there was anything else. Jerking a jacket off and stuffing it in as well and zipped it up as she walked back before ripping the wrapper off and biting into the granola bar. "Let's get out of here and find some place to stay or something maybe grab some food. I have this really bad feeling creeping up and I don't like it.
Honestly they had no idea the three just had their ways of bringing in prey as it were and making it were none were the wiser. Than again they never had a pair of demons a little more uncontrollable before either. But yea the doctor knew they were gone but didn't think too far given the girl was hurt and probably weak. Though he was keeping an eye out and spotting the broken glass was standing by to try and once more grab his two newest targets hopefully and make them one of his. But Johunas wasn't stupid and kept hidden both physically as well as his scent just waiting. His girls, Libby and Marcy back at the clinic getting thing ready for when he called.

"I usually am." He said with a smile in response to her comment of his being right. He was a tad concieted, he would admit to that flaw. And honestly, why shouldn't he be? Knox knew he was good looking, he knew he was smart and charismatic, he knew he was strong and brave and cunning. Why should he try to hide a single bit of it? Hearing her next comment made him snicker under his breath, flashing the briefest of glances up at her. "You sound as if you believe you're the first woman like yourself I've come across." He said with an arch to his brow. Being full of teenage hormones, the boy had seen his fair share of women, and definitely seen his share of the tempation they offered. And, being full of said hormones, he wasn't likely to turn down a woman for a night of her company.. no.. that would be rude. Hearing her say that men were conceited made his laugh softly, nodding his head. "Now, Katerina.. I never claimed that I wasn't." He stated the face with a grin. Yeah, Knox had a cockiness to him, one that was more often seen in boys younger than himself who thought they knew it all, or much much older than him who thought they had it all.
He'd been on his own a long time and had learned a lot and had had to deal with a lot in that time, making him far older than his birth age foretold. At the comment of reminding her about his theory he smirked, shaking his head. "If I remember, then I will remind you." He said with a little chuckle in his throat. Honestly, Knox had a hard time remembering things. His mother always blamed it on poor vitamin intake, or that something was wrong with his head, but the doctor had assured her that it was the ADHD that toyed with his memory. After all, one who couldn't concentrate on one thing at a time for very long was sure to forget things when they multitasked and had so many things rushing through their head. Hell, even the time to stitch the girl up had been hard enough on his concentration.
While he waited on Kat, after she'd been stitched and was making her way around the room to collect things for herself, he drummed his fingers on the counter top, staring out the windows in the front, watching for any signs of attack. Sure, they could have come looking at any time and found the broken window, they could have burst into the shop while Knox had been preoccupied, but they hadn't. A sense of dread was slowly filling him, making his brows furrow and his eyes narrow while a knot of worry began in his stomach. As soon as she had come back over to him, he yanked his own bag back onto his shoulder, making sure to put both arms through the loops this time, just an off precaution at the moment. "Yeah, I'm getting the same feeling." He remarked, not taking his eyes from the door, his voice lower than before as he stared ahead. He hadn't caught sight of anyone, or of any scents, but that sixth sense in his brain was whirring, telling him to be more alert than usual.
The young halfling placed a gentle hand onto her lower back, steering her toward the door. In a motion that she wouldn't see he shifted his free hand behind his back and flicked the safety off on his gun, as well as cocked it to have it ready. Now all he had to do was pull it out, aim and squeeze the trigger. As his hand pulled back away, in a swift movement that would also go unnoticed by Kat or anyone else, he pulled the switchblade from his pocket and kept it hidden within his fist. Dark eyes swept the street as he stared through the window on the door. Something was off... "On your guard." He whispered to her so that if there were someone just out of sight, they wouldn't hear. Something was really off and it was setting his every sense into panic/alert/frenzy mode.

Kat stopped a moment and looked over at him with a smirk playing at her lips before she shook her head. Although right before she moved back to his side, her eyes landed on shoes and she had nearly forgotten. Grabbing sneakers, a pair of steel-toed tan boots and lastly her ultimate favorite and the girl knew how to wear them, run hell even fight. They were thigh-high black leather with 4 inch heels and anyone who thought it was funny to tease her. Or say something like she couldn't fight would no doubt have their body curled over in pain.
Slipping the boots on she made quick work of the strings and couldn't help the smirk playing over her lips. Thinking also about finding another store with some blades, hers were lost thinks to that bloody bear and she wanted them back. Hearing his words she slowly stood up and looked at him curiously, "What do you mean exactly a woman like me? I'm no different than other woman unless you count that I can be alot more dominating." Shaking her head some no she had no idea about the demon, nor that he was like her either.
Than she hadn't be able to talk since she woke up about who she was and well the loss of nearly every memory she had. Shaking those thoughts she sealed the backback and shifted it onto her back pretty much like Knox had his making her way back over to him and smirking playfully at his words right after she had mentioned guys were conceited. Looking at him and yea, she could call his butt cocky as hell. "My my Knox someone is sure of himself now isn't he? Might have to truly test out this little theory." Brushing her lips some out over her lips.
Shaking her head some before she stopped near him than shifted the bag off and moved around the counter. Staring at the register before she punched in a few buttons and presto it opened. Though her eyes bugged out and she couldn't help but blink at the amount of cash they had in the till. "Oh my god. I've never seen any place with this amount of cash in a register it's too risky. What the hell?" Her voice was more just stating than actually talking to him persay, lifting up a few bills and holding them up. Kat knew a thing or two about phony money and was making sure. Pulling out the draw and laying it on the counter.
They were already stealing clothes and such so why now. She wasn't always going to be stealing and not paying she played it both ways honestly. Looking up to him and lightly shrugged before placing about a hundred behind her bar the rest would go into the backpack. "Take what you..." Stopping midsentence and looking at what was laying under the draw. Reaching over and pulling up the blade and noticed the detail on the blade itself as well as the handle. Checking the weight in her hand before that devilish smile crossed her face. "Mmm well that is one." Leaning down she slipped it into her boot carefully before standing back and would put the draw back once he had taken what he wanted.
Hearing him she looked back up at the front and those eyes narrowed some as she slowly came back around. Though feeling his hand on her lower back she shook her head. "Wait. I'm not in the mood to be surprised again plus I need to get alot more food with the amount of blood I probably loose. Lets try the back, there is bound to be a door or hell a window." Her tone was stronger before she grabbed the back and making sure the zippers were closed she hooked it on once more. Reaching suddenly and grabbing his hand leading to the back instead of the front. Something just told her they needed to leave a different way. Keeping her fingers laced with his and honestly wasn't thinking about that.
Moving through the back door and into the storage room glancing around a moment before spotting both a door and windows. Taking in a breath she pulled them towards the door since it would be the easier to get out of. Plus she had caught what looked like wire around the frame of the window while the door didn't have anything. Tricks perhaps...who knows. The window they had to take off the bags and climb through too much time. Looking over her shoulder at him just really making sure he was ready, the turned and undid the lock reaching her fingers to wrap around the knob and slowly pulled it open.

Knox barely paid any attention to the girl as she bustled about the store, grabbing shoes. Of course he saw her grab three pair and he rolled his eyes, typical woman. On the run for her life and she has to stock up on shoes. He thought to himself, though said nothing aloud. His tongue brushed over his lips, drumming his fingers against the countertop before hearing her speak. A sly grin slid onto his tanned lips. "Exactly my point, there. You're just like every other woman out there." He said with a little shrug of his shoulders, skimming over the part about her being more dominating than others. He wasn't so sure about that.. Knox had met a lot of women in his time. He continued drumming out some boring rhythm onto the counter, mostly just illustrating just how bored he was standing there waiting for her to finish. A brow arched when she spoke again, fighting back a little chuckle and shaking his head. "Maybe just a little." He said as he winked over at her.
Dark eyes followed her as she moved around the counter to open the register, he didn't even look at the money in the drawer. The young halfling honestly had no use for money. He stole everything he needed. If he couldn't steal it, he didn't need it. That had been his thinking for years now, and it was unlikely to change any time soon. He did, however, take notice of the blade, though left it to her. He had two that were easily accessible and three in his bag in various places, he really didn't need another blade. All he needed was to keep his ammo stocked. The brief look he'd had around the town told him there wasn't anything in the way of an arms shop, but then again, he could have been wrong about that though. He shrugged when she spoke of not wanting to be surprised and about using a back door to get out of here. He had a feeling that was probably a worse idea than strolling obliviously out the front door, but he'd leave it up to her to make that choice, right now his priority was saving his ass.
A brow perked up as she took his hand and laced her fingers into his, staring at his hand and following behind her. With a shrug he figured he wasn't going to bother with questioning it, not yet anyway. Knox spotted the door she found in the back room, also spotted the windows that were definitely too small. His grip tightened around the switchblade in his free hand as she pulled open the door, his frame instantly shifting a bit. Instead of standing in that relaxed mode he'd been in, now there was a slight crouch to his position, even as he walked and gave her hand just the gentlest of tugs through the door, him leading the way of course. Dark eyes darted quickly around, thankfully not seeing anyone, nor picking up any scents. With the smallest flick of his wrist the blade in his hand popped out with a faint click. He flashed a glance back at her, watching her for a moment before nodding. He was keeping quiet, only because of the bad feeling, that heavy weight that was resting on his chest. Something really wasn't right and he knew what it was in the back of his mind, but it wouldn't come to the front, to realization. It was too quiet, not even birds chirped or trash blew in the wind. There was no scent on the air beyond his, hers, and the garbage cans to his right. Just the faint darkness of the alleyway put a major sense of unease through him.

Knox wouldn't be thinking such things if he saw the shoes or her using them as weapons. The girl was sweet and innocent as she was dominating and deadly. A great combination just not when your on the recieving end of her temper though than you were just shit out of luck. Glaring at him a moment when he still considered her like other females and picked up a shoe and threw it at his head. "Jerk" Growling some before that smirk slipped back into place before she shook her head.
Not really caring about the money but at times you needed to act normal to make things work. Plus sometimes stealing wasn't all that easy with some items and she would be a good girl and use money. Though was still wanting to find another weapons shop and food, having a feeling neither would be willing to stick too close to the city for now. Not till they could figure what the hell was going on that is. At this point she had trust in Knox over the others.
Not noticing the look when she took his hand it was just her needing him to come the back way. Really not wanting to see the one person who had helped her getting hurt or worse. Not that she was worried he would go dying anytime soon but still. Her senses were driving her nuts with worry, concern, hesitation and anger. It was a surprise she wasn't snapping at him on accident but than he had done nothing wrong. Allowing him to pull and take the lead out pulling the gun from her waistband, flicking off the safety and cocking it. Those green eyes darting back and forth as they moved out. No they had outsmarted the good doctor who was poised outfront.
He honestly thought they would come back out that way not the back. His mistake. Not seeing, hearing anything she tightened her hand unconsciously in his narrowing her eyes some before gently tugging his hand and motioned to the forest in front of them. Thinking for now it was probably the best idea, come back at night and look around more sounded goo. Waiting to see what he did leaving him to lead this time.

He'd ducked out of the way of the shoe, ignoring the comment that came with it. At the moment he was totally focused on getting them the hell out of here. Once outside he heard her cock the hand gun and snapped a brief look to it. Honestly, the only reason Knox kept his own gun was for when there was an unfair advantage to the other side, he liked things even.. well that or when he needed to take someone down from a distance. He prefered his hands and the knives over anything else, and typically favored his fists. Unless his hands were clenched into fists it was hard to see all the scarring on his knuckles. He'd broken them, torn them open, and scraped them up more times than he could count. His nose wrinkled in thought as he stood just outside the back door of the shop, dark eyes scanning the alleyway before feeling the little tug on his arm.
Dark eyes followed the direction she pointed, spotting the trees in the distance. He made a little bit of a face, not really sure if he wanted to go that way just yet, after all, they still needed food and he knew right where the convienence store was. A sudden thought occurred to him. "Good plan," he mouthed, barely a sound escaping him, "you go, I'll meet you there soon." It was only a couple of doors down that he would find the store with food inside, he could be in and out before she even reached the forest, but he had an uneasy feeling that she wasn't going to go to the woods alone.

If she wasn't still hurt Kat wouldn't of cocked the gun, but she wanted a little more advantage at the moment and a bullet did more damage 'at' times than anything. Especially if it hit the right place. She just wasn't taking a chance and for right now pretty much had his back although no one had hers. But still. Hell even with the feelings she was as calm as possible even her hand holding the gun was steady, the girl had control more than most probably gave her credit for. No doubt why so many were scared shitless when she countered their little plans and killed their surprise before they even realized it.
Her eyes still looking around, those eyes were locked and completely focused till she felt him shifting. Turning back to see her brows furrowed some before nodding only narrowing her eyes a moment to his second statement and the hand in his tightened. To a human a bone crushing amount him...who knew. "If you bloody think we are seperating now your out of your flipping mind. Someone needs to watch your back and don't even argue you know I'm right. You might hand things alone most times like I do, but something is off here. We both know it and if we want to figure it out and get through we need to stick together." Keeping her voice just a soft whisper so it wouldn't be heard further away than where he stood.
"Lets find some food and if possible another weapons store. I want my bloody blades." Looking back into his eyes and hoping he got she was dead on serious. She would not argue and damn well hoped he wasn't stupid enough to try or he might just find out how dominate even injuried she could be.

Knox couldn't help the grin that slid onto his lips when she whispered back to him, barely noticing the tightened grip on his hand, which stayed completely relaxed inside of hers. The quietest of chuckles echoing into his throat as he nodded. "Alright, alright. I gotcha. You're right, I do handle things better alone, but with whoever lives here, might be better to stick together." He said back in a barely audible whisper that he knew she would hear. If the girl thought he was trying to protect her, trying to keep her alive, well she'd be in for a rude awakening because all Knox was interested in was keeping himself alive. Once he was sure they were out of the threat of danger he was more than likely to separate from her and never see her again. He didn't keep friends, he didn't have lovers. He was a loner, always had been, always would be. He liked it that way and didn't have plans to change it.
He nodded at the comment of finding some food, though shrugged at the idea of finding her weapons. "I didn't see one on my first pass through town, but there might be something else hidden somewhere here.. maybe even a pawn shop?" He suggested in that low whisper, though didn't hold that much hope. Dark eyes swept the alley once more as he gave a little tug on her arm toward the back of the conveience store, only problem was they would have to cross another alley that lead out to the street where anyone could see them. He flashed her a look as he spoke. "You know how to keep quiet, right?" He asked with a devilishly mischievious glint to his eyes. Without really giving her much chance to answer he swept her off of her feet, careful of the stitches and tucked her close to his chest. With blinding speed he dashed across the alley and to a backdoor in the alleyway that was clearly marked Billy Bob's Carryout. He'd only picked the girl up so that they could reach the door without either of them being spotted. He winked at her as he set her back onto her feet and reached out to twist the knob on the door, amazingly finding it unlocked, though he didn't pull it open, instead he waited for her, making sure she was ready, just in case there was something on the other side for them to deal with.

His chuckle surprised her and she raised a brow some slightly. Smirking a little when he spoke before rolling her eyes. Nodding when he seemed to agree with her. Though if he thought she was looking for something from him, the boy was dead wrong. She didn't want some overbearing, protective jerk at her side trying to protect her. Love was just another stupid emotion that didn't in her opinion serve a purpose beside to cause issues. Nope she liked not aligning herself with anyone and just playing with most men honestly.
Hearing his words she nodded some looking back briefly to him and smirked some at the pawn shop. Those were so much fun especially when the idiots didn't know what they had. Looking towards the other build just as he tugged on her hand and she looked back over raising a brow. Blinking a moment at the question and was about to give a response before seeing that look and than being up in his arms. Quickly wrapping her arms around his neck and glaring at him though it was failing the actually full force.
Leaning against him and was so gonna kick his ass for this one later but let it go for now figuring he had a reason. Right? Feeling her feet get set back down and smacked his ass before smirking at the wink. Letting him turn the knob and narrowed her eyes seeing it unlocked. Reaching down into her boot pulling the blade out and flipping it around in her hand so it wasn't easily seen. Nodding tightly to let him know she was ready a hand resting on his arm.

After he'd set her down and felt the little smack to his behind, a brow arched up at her. He simply grinned to himself and shook his head at her before gripping the switchblade a little tighter in his hand as he turned the door knob and pushed the door open. No alarm sounded, no one came running to the back room. Knox frowned and stepped inside, motioning for her to wait a moment, dark eyes quickly dancing over the nearly black room, the only light coming from the door he'd just opened. From what he could see it was a small store room with an old computer and desk off to the right. Hell it didn't even look as thought the place had power.. oddly. Brows furrowed again, nostrils twitching, eyes darting about. There was no one here. No one had been here in at least half a week. The air smelled more of dust than anything else. Again.. Odd.
He glanced back to her, reaching out and gently taking hold of her upper arm to pull her into the store room beside him before closing the door quietly. He moved silently to the door that lead into the actual store, putting his ear to the door to listen. Still eerily silent on the other side. Not giving anyone a chance to react he grabbed the handle and jerked the door open, looking as though he were expecting someone to pop out, but again he was greeted with the scent of dust and no other scents. "You would figure a store with food would be the first place people would hit up." He whispered back at her, once more taking a careful hold of her upper arm and pulling her into the room. He left the door to the store room open just in case someone came in the back, they'd have a little more warning. Nothing in the main part of the store seemed to have power either.
That was fine by him, really, he didn't usually go for cold foods anyway. Instead he moved down the aisles, always careful to avoid getting too close to the windows in the front. He pulled his backpack from his shoulders and began stuffing in jerky, granola bars, power bars, gum, small candies, chocolates, anything with protien and fiber, anything with carbs. He pushed it all into his bag until the seams looked as if they were going to burst, his next step was drinks.. there really wasn't much room for them inside the bag he carried now, and he wished he would have thought of it before stuffing everything in, buuut. He flashed a glance to the girl as she moved down the aisles, collecting things for herself. "Kat." He whispered, careful now to keep his voice lower.. an edge of paranoia creeping up on him. "Stay here, collect what you need to, be back in... 45 seconds." He said, smirking lightly. He dropped his bag onto the counter, an indicator that he would be back, and then slipped out the back door, keeping a tight hold on the blade.
With the same blinding speed he'd used to move the girl across the alley way to avoid being seen, he rushed back to the clothing store and slipped inside, finding a large black dufflebag, which was exactly what he'd been looking for. He paused at the back door, once more listening for anything coming, then darted out the door and back to the store. He'd been wrong. He'd predicted 45 seconds, it had taken him just over a minute to run down and back again. When he slipped back into the store, nothing had changed. He smelled dust over everything, now of course mixed with his and her scents but nothing more. Good. When he moved back to her he smiled lightly, holding up the duffle, which probably confused her more than anything. After showing it to the girl, he moved to the cooler that held different drinks, sodas and waters, iced coffees, milks and juices. Without a second thought behind it he grabbed as much water and juice as he could fit into the bag, not giving a damn that all of it was warm, and stuffed it into the duffle. "How much more you gotta get?" He asked her as he shifted to set the duffle onto the countertop beside his other bag and then look around behind the counter for anything useful. No blades, no guns, no ammo.. great.

He could give her all the weird looks he wanted too she had been caught off guard with him picking her up. So therefore she smacked his ass for it. Staying behind him as the door was finally opened and she nodded to the wait there, letting him go in first and listening herself. Although she wasn't hearing or even smelling anything which was odd. Wrinkling her nose and still not liking this, although perhaps something happened to the owners maybe. She was still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt about what was going on. Feeling him pull her in she would go before laying her back on the counter. Those green eyes looking around for a moment.
Though slowly she shifted her way around the shelves grabbing nearly like him, the granola bars, chocolates, candies, beef sticks, crackers, cookies a few things with fiber she didn't need the carbs and all like him. Looking up when she spoke though rather shocked at the nickname coming from his lips. But nodded some seeing the bag being set down though went back to looking over the aisles a moment. Walking back and sticking the snacks in her back after unzippering it, thankfully she had grabbed a rather bigger one than him.
Smirking as he slipped in and had a duffle before shaking her head and though about something a moment. "Hey Knox...why don't we use the duffle since its larger for all the snacks and things than when we find some more ammo and things they can go in the backpacks. If you want we can take turns carrying it, not an issue with me. But just a suggestion is all." Slipping back down the aisles to grab a few more of the snacks and bringing them to the counter. Ripping open one of the snacks and took a bite before she quickly spit it back out. A growl leaving her lips. "Fuck...Knox hold up open one of the damn drinks..." Her voice still low now having a funny feeling before her head jerked a moment.
Dropping the crap she jerked the gun back out, not sure how but she was feeling something. Reaching for the blade as well she looked back to the front those green eyes suddenly darker more a deep sapphire. Not realizing her skin was slightly flickering the demon had finally recovered from the drugs and it was pissed off. But with how calm or close to calm Kat was it didn't get out as easily. Her movements to untrained eyes looked normal, but she was being extremely careful, crossing one over the other and barely making a sound. Slipping along the wall she stood and looked from the shadows out the window."Knox...come here. That the bastard?" Her voice was nearly unheard and she was hoping he did. Never taking her eyes off him and holding the blade along her arm the gun pointed along her leg.
But if anyone could tell she was suddenly no longer in her teasing mood and very much focused on the male outside. Yet more importantly on what was in his arms, a low rumbling growl was building up in her chest.

He shook his head lightly at the comment of using the duffle for the snacks, then they wouldn't have much room for the drinks, and god knew did they need something to drink. As she opened her snack cake he opened his mouth, preparing to tell her it was a bad plan, but she'd already taken a bite. A tiny snicker slipped out of him, grabbing an orange juice from the bag and passing it to her. "Ya know.." He said, still snickering under his breath as he lifted the snack and turned it over. "Next time grab something with less dairy. Dairy spoils." He fought off another laugh when he heard the sound. It was quiet, those with human ears never would have picked it up. Just the slightest scuffing noise like tennis shoes on concrete. Dark eyes instantly snapped up at the windows, quickly grabbing her and jerking her down and out of sight. "Don't let them see you," he whispered, obviously trying to keep her safe.
He placed one hand carefully onto the gun in his waistband but didn't pull it out, his dark eyes on the figure of the man outside the window. The man obviously hadn't noticed Knox and Katerina, yet. His head shook slightly. "I don't think so.." He whispered again, but with all the grime on the windows, he couldn't be positive. His nose wrinkled a little, watching the male on the other side of the glass who was trying to peer through the dirty windows. The breeze blew, pushing cool air that they wouldn't feel under the front door and that brought scents. "Shit." He whispered reaching to the counter. In one swift momement he'd yanked her back to her feet and had put her backpack on, then yanked on his own and pulled the duffle over it. It wasn't comfortable and certainly looked heavy, but he didn't seem to have too much of an issue, other than a slight balance problem for the first couple of seconds. "We gotta go. Now." He whispered urgently. Not only had he picked up the doctor's scent, but also all three nurses and two unfamiliar ones. Still he got nothing from the back entrance, but there were only so many ways to be sure.
Knox took a hold on her hand and gave a jerk to her hand. "We ain't got enough rounds to spare, let's go." He demanded, of course talking about bullets in the gun. Sure, her's had a full clip, as did his and he had a couple of mags in his backpack, but nothing they would get to quickly enough and he had a feeling that these guys were armed as well. He dragged her to the back door, hesitating just inside the door, listening and trying to pick up on anything else and then.. Out of time. He heard the front door burst open and he flashed a look to Kat. "Time to go." He whispered, pushing the door open and still attempting to be sneaky, then dragged her out into the dark alley.

She gave him a glare when he spoke about the snacks before snatching the orange juice and taking a long swallow. "Oh can it mister smarty pants. Not like your all perfect." Nodding softly to his warning though she was keeping to the shadows for now. Though hissed through her teeth when he pulled her down blinking those eyes to see the shadows in the window. "shit" Feeling the breeze her eyes stayed locked on the figures before the scents came and she froze. It was the same one she had picked up at the hospital, wait how can she pick up scents?
Filing that away for now she felt him pull her and moved to get the pack back on. Putting the blade in her boot and the gun once more in the back of her waistband. Watching him a moment before wrinkling her nose although she could pinpoint the footsteps outside and narrowed her eyes again. Nodding to the fact they needed to leave. Barely feeling the jerk on her hand before she moved to follow him keeping as low as they could. Making it to the backdoor again before hearing the front door and hissed through her teeth as they made a bee-line out the back. Following to the dark alley and she could pick up the sounds of footsteps. "Run" Right as she heard yelling and pushed on his back.
Herself breaking into one towards the woods, even with those heels on she could probably out run those men. Forgoing the pain in her side which was starting to act up she wanted them both out of the way now. Hearing what sounded like a gunshot and growled but wasn't going to try and pull hers back out they just needed to get away. Having an idea once they got into the woods they could lose them. Glancing to make sure he was near her she picked up speed jerking her head down as another bullet went over her head. "Bastard." She growled under her breath.

As the girl said the word, Knox was already running. He let the door swing shut on it's own accord, having released her hand already. It was difficult enough to run with two heavy loads on his back, let alone holding her hand and trying to make sure she kept pace with him. When the young halfling heard the gunshot his brows furrowed, a feral growl slipping through his lips. He turned the chocolate hues behind him as he ran, noting that she was a few paces behind him. A quick glance to the left of her told him that she was about thirty seconds from being tackled by the little brunette nurse that had stabbed him with a needle before. Without putting thought to action he reached, with difficulty, under the bouncing back packs and yanked the still cocked gun from his waist band. He turned to run backwards, which did slow him down a hair, and aimed the gun at the brunettes head. His nose wrinkled up, waiting until just before she tried to tackle Katerina before firing and catching her right between the eyes. A triumphant little smirk hit his lips.
Most people would be upset, mourn the fact that they had just killed someone else in cold blood, Knox didn't give a damn. It seemed like it was kill or be killed out here and he was going to protect his own ass no matter what or who got into the way. He made sure the rest of them were fairly far behind before he stuffed the handgun back into his waistband and reached out to grab her hand. "You're slow, you know that?" He asked, panting slightly from the run. He flashed another look back at the two men and a woman that were chasing them and didn't hesitate before jerking on her arm just right to pull her up onto his back with everything else. As a normal teenager, he would have never been able to do it. But his eyes flashed to a ruby hue, his skin tone darkened and the muscles on him expanded. If the girl were paying close attention she would notice that she was also lifted an extra three inches from the ground. He said nothing, merely ran faster than humanly possible with so much cargo, toward the trees. It didn't take nearly as long as it would have otherwise for them to get into the darkness of the trees and to disappear into them.

They were both running and the gunshots, shouts were pissing her off slightly at the moment. Blinking after hearing his growl before seeing the gun and she was sure he had noticed something she didn't. Till the scent came to her nose just before he fired and she turned seeing the woman go down. Her own eyes flickering to dark blue. Shaking her head some and didn't even think twice about slowing down okay so she was a few paces behind him. So sue her. Keeping her eyes ahead of him and caught the hint of something as was running backwards. Jerking the gun she had in her waistband she pointed and fired off two rounds catching the man and woman who had jumped out right in the face.
"Think again assholes." Seeing they had planned to surround them and were failing miserable at it. Though feeling her hand pulled after she put the gun back she growled at his works. "Bit me." Suddenly pulled up off the ground and she found herself on his back looking at him curiously. Though for now didn't question it just was like, 'What the fuck? Just who is this guy?' thoughts rushing through her mind. Glancing back seeing them once he ran into the treeline, the others stopped just watching before turning around. Kat found it odd but didn't say anything for now. The further away they got the better.
Although after another five minutes she finally relaxed some and could tell they weren't being followed. "Hey Knox slow it down. For some reason their not following us into the woods. Infact they turned around once we came in."
